Note to self: do not wait five hours after getting home to flippin' eat. You will be a cranky mess.
My ankle is hurting again (joy) and I've just come off a week of work where I was literally bored to tears. As in I might've shed a tear or two, I was so, so bored. So yes, literally. Sigh.
New shift lead is from the downtown store. With D and New Girl having quit on me, we needed new blood. So a woman from the downtown store transfered over. She's quiet, she's nice, but I gather she was the designated hitter at that store and since she and New Shift Lead (C. We'll go with C) worked together previously, she now gets to fly free around the store while I am chained to the front register. Bored out of my skull. So bored. SO BORED.
Also, I'm going to say this here so I don't say it at work unless someone brings it up: but I question how well they trained my lovely, quiet new co-worker. I... have yet to see her really face the store while she's doing other tasks, but that's not a skill everyone employs. But when she did the outdates in the chip section, she pulled pretty much all the Lays stuff. And I would bet a fair chunk of change that she was pulling 30 days out and Lays is more like a week out, max. :/ Which is an easy mistake to make, but she spent all night working on this so... I worry. But I didn't really get a chance to look and see, so we may never know.
Follow up on my mail mishaps.
BBW: initially got the world's least helpful reply that just told me their ETA shipping times, like that's helpful. I get that I probably sent it to the wrong department but the one I was pretty sure was the right one? Lead to a website error every time I tried. And most sites will forward you to the proper department with a varying degree of attitude. (The best do it with none, the worst... well.) So I emailed back, politely enough and requested that someone either read my issue and actually help or forward me along to someone who could help. They must have because the next person immediately issued me a replacement order before emailing me back to let me know. They were awesome and it should, in theory, be here tomorrow maybe? That's pretty fast.
Birchbox is sending me a new box. Probably. If they can't, for whatever reason, they're gonna let me know. So we'll see how it goes.
And my ankle is singing so I'm gonna go prop my foot up in bed and do nothing but try not to sleep til either Mums wakes up or Widget heads off for shopping with his mother. She and I (or Mums) need to have a chat.
