Sep. 23rd, 2016 04:28 pmI need it alllllllllllllllllllll. Except the lashes because no. Nail polishes! I have been so missing having nifty new polishes to look forward to, you don't even know. Well, might because I suspect/know she's been having the same withdrawals. Which is insane because fall should be a time when we frolick through the stores scooping up new things and being spoiled for choice.
The universe is clearly mocking me considering this display is for the holidays. Please don't go online and sell out immediately, WnW.
Which reminds me, still need to give the purple mascara a whirl. They went on clearance and I'm kind of kicking myself that I snagged them all for full price but I only really regret the green one so... enh.
On the shoe front, things went well enough Tuesday and Wednesday with only "standing on my feet all night/new shoe" pain and then last night we returned to wtf did I do to my ankle. But it wasn't full blown and I'm wondering if starting my shift standing in one place is what's setting it off. Because the other two nights I jumped right into things and didn't stand still(ish) til the end of my shift and my ankle was fine. In any case, I don't think I'll be going the Skechers route again when I next buy shoes just in case it's a case of the shoe type. Alas, I'm broke so we'll just have to make it work until I'm not.
Had a mini rant about work but leaving it just depressed me too much. Basically, here's hoping I get all the days I really want off in October. Otherwise, much sad.
I mentioned that I'd finally mostly decorated for Halloween, yes? If not, I totally did. It's not as fun when you're doing it all by yourself though. I definitely missed Widget helping, even those years when we disagreed on where things should go. I'm hoping he'll help a little when it comes to the outside decorations.
Oh, and I learned that cleaning out from under/behind the couch is something I really need to make sure is done waaaaaaaaaaaay more often. So many spiders. D:

Date: 2016-09-24 11:36 pm (UTC)I looked at the new WnW collection and my first impression is that I am underwhelmed :( 70s disco isn't really my thing. The R-U-Free-2-Dance? nail color is the only thing that I MUST get; the other three polishes are okay ( will prolly pass on Ninja Lovelace). Of course, my opinion may change when I see things in person. I might have to swing by Christmas Tree Shops and see if they're in yet since they get the Harmon stuff :D

Date: 2016-09-25 11:26 am (UTC)Hee, Ninja Lovelace is probably the one I'm most hopeful about, though I suspect I probably have at least one nearly identical to it somewhere. :p R-U-Free-2-Dance is so pretty but I'm having a hell of a time figuring out whether it'll look like that on the nail or not. Disco's not normally my thing but shinies are. And now I'm reminded of the Revlon disco display!

Date: 2016-09-26 12:03 am (UTC)The great thing about nail polish is that it can almost always been improved with undies. R-U-Free-2-Dance? might require such, or a ridge-filling basecoat, but its pretty enough to be worth the effort IMO. Ninja Lovelace is just too dark - it looks like muck in those pics, and I haven't had much luck with blackened polishes in the past.

Date: 2016-09-26 05:41 am (UTC)If you find them in the wild, let me know! I will forever be a sucker for darker polishes though I do acknowledge that it's a crap shoot. But when it pans out, it's glorious.
