I'm weak. So weak.

impyNot a Jenner/Kardashian fan, just in case I've never made that clear here. Just... no. So when the Kylie polishes showed up sometime earlier in the year, I wasn't exactly thrilled. I was less thrilled when all the displays multiplied and had babies and other than a bit of a rush for the first wave (and we're talking two weeks tops) no one bought a damn thing. And they kept sending more. And more. Not even refreshers for the displays. No, whole new displays. I wish I were kidding or exaggerating, but no. I am, for once, being dead serious.
I think the only reason we're down to *mentally tallies* 7 (give or take a couple) displays is because someone knocked a big one over, right after they waxed the floor, and pretty much half the display broke. Which is impressive because usually SC bottles can take a fall. Just not when another 150 (exaggerating this time. Probably.) follow them to the floor, I suppose.
Anyway! I sold three last night to a woman who was super excited about a look she had planned. So excited she tried to pull up the look on her phone but because our store is where signals go to die but not as quickly as Walmart, it didn't work. However, when I rang her up, I noticed all three were Kylie polishes and all three rang up half price.
I... might have bought six polishes this morning when I left. I figure between my discount and the clearance pricing, it's not adding much, if anything, to the Jenner money pit and all the colors are super pretty.
Work was dull. I worked alone (so alone!) and the shift lead called out so... yeah. On the plus side, this whole three trucks a week thing has worked out in my favor thus far. I've helped put away exactly two totes and scanned in half a truck. That's it. Next week will be different, though I'm fine if I only have to scan the one. Really. So good with that.
I'm debating making a second round of croutons. *debates* Guess I could warm up the oven while I make my breakfast and see where that leaves me.
Unrelated to all of that: looks like Costco Sam will possibly have a variant version of her new holiday dress. Instead of the red/black plaid, it's all red. Seems she'll also be coming with her black/white coat so, really, I'm having Sleepover Friends Stephanie Green flashbacks.

It really didn't help that the Harris Teeter down the road had a better selection of colors than we did for the same price and Walmart's cheaper or just easier to steal from. But I cackled when the last display had a coupon to make 'em 2/$5 and people still had no interest.
I guess they just figured with how stupidly well her online stuff does that the polishes would follow. My faith in humanity was restored just a bit when the sellouts never happened.
