AG Halloween pics and some whining
Nov. 18th, 2016 08:05 amNote to self: Yankee's Pumpkin Pie smells amazing but a little will go a long way if you're sitting right by it.
Or maybe this is only true if I'm in the midst of period hell. (My sense of smell goes into overdrive then. Not. Fun.) Because I am kind, I will spare the graphic details and just say that work is really lucky I didn't take my wakeup call as a sign and just call out.
Alas, now I have a huge headache. :( I'm not sure if it's because I have my hair up in a clip or what, but my brain is trying to scream loudly. Boo. And with the dog's occasional whining also blaring in my ears, it's not going away anytime soon. Boo.
Ooh, ooh, how about I distract myself with this?
Since it's pretty much almost Thanksgiving, that's the perfect time to show the AG Halloween pics, right? Right.
This year was both incredibly easy and a royal pain in my ass, so really not different from any other year, I suppose. I broke the group pictures up into subgroups because my army is quite huge and I'm not sure how it happened but I blame sales. And my love of the Josefina mold, I suppose.
Anyway, we begin with tradition.
The BSC in AG form. Basically this is an excuse to have Saige be Mallory Pike because she looks adorable and it's an easy-ish way of knocking 9 costumes out of the way. Until you have to sit down and figure out who will be which character and then what they'll wear because really, only Jessi and Kristy have easy costumes (Jessi's in ballet gear, duh, and Kristy's even more duh worthy).
Normally Samantha is Kristy but I was tired of it and thus this year I went in a non-Mom jeans kind of direction. (The AGoT initial jeans outfit has a pair of mom jeans, for those who were confused. Because the 90's, that's why.)

Back row, L-R: Jade as Stacey (later series after the hair cut, obviously), Jess as Claudia, Hannah as Kristy, Ruthie as Abby (a stretch, I admit), Lea as Shannon (bigger stretch)
Front row: Molly as Mary Anne, Lei as Jessi, Saige as Mallory, and #27 as Dawn
Sadly, you can tell that the AGoT grey dress's boots finally gave up the ghost. The glue on the soles is notorious for crapping out, but it's also been twenty years and I'm not the original owner so... eh.
Overall, I'm decently pleased with this group. Ideally Shannon wouldn't have been Lea but I needed my blondes elsewhere. Hannah glammed Kristy up a bit with the white sweater and I was tempted to go with Sam as Kristy and Molly as MA just for all the "but what's the difference?" jokes people used to make about Sam and Molly, but again, I was sick of the mom jeans and none of the other jeans (I say like I have a lot. I don't. Saige is hogging the one decent pair.) will fit Sam. I almost love Stacey's getup, but I don't see her wearing a bow that close to her face. Otherwise I'm in luv.

Claudia outfits are hard and you can't even really see what's going on here but eh, you can see the streaks in her hair and I think we all know Claud would definitely experiment that way. Alas, you can't see the gold streaks.

Not sure what's with the pink going on with Molly's locket but maybe reflecting the red bow. Yes, I am totally mixing later Stacey and Abby and early Mary Anne. Because Molly and Kaya are keeping their braids til I have to take them out. Sorry, ladies.

Lei's probably the closest to Jessi, aside from the hair and I just could not get it pulled back because the cat kept 'helping'. :p And now I'm noticing Saige's hair doing weird things being propped up on the other dolls. Damn. It.

Still cute, both of them.

#27 doesn't have a name because she was bought for the wig and eyes to be popped into Grace #2 to become Dawn. I just haven't gotten around to finding someone to do that, so she finally came outta the closet to participate in the Halloween fun. Don't get attached, guys.

Traditional-ish costumes!
Back row, L-R: Samantha as the Ruby Red Ballerina, Kaya as the Black Cat (the mask got lost somewhere), Ivy as a Witch, Kirsten as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Cecile as a Goddess, and Marie Grace is in the Western Whatchamacallit Dress. It was cute and I couldn't change her. Sorry, not sorry.
Front Row: Nellie as Alice in Wonderland, HTA in Kit's Hobo outfit, Kanani as the Animal Trainer, and Lena is in the Monster Dress, sans the stupid 'wig'.

So cute!

Poor Sam looks a bit washed out, but I liked the change of pace for her this go round.

Lena has seen some things, guys...
My PJ group:

Lane in Addy's BF jammies, Felicity in Caroline's nightgown, and Sonali in Julie's original PJs. I really like Felicity in Caroline's, I'm okay with Lane and I don't really love Julie's PJs on Sonali.

They all look relatively comfy though.
Last, but not least... I had to do it. I mean, I really had to do it.
Wakefield Twins and their Evil Twins. :D

Grace 2 as Nora, Grace as Margo, Lizbeth as Liz, and McKenna as Jessica
If I were to do this again, Lizbeth's hair would be down or more obviously not just pincurls.

I've got Nora in the DC shirt since it appears I never got a red version of the Atlanta shirt and uh, duh, matching shirts. Margo is clearly in the NY shirt for obvious reasons. I actually really, really love their matching outfits (you can't see it, but Margo's got the big, stompy black boots on and Nora's got the more restrained brown boots) and McKenna looks really pretty as well. Lizbeth, well... maybe next time, self.

Pin curls will be the death of meeeeeee. I thought about pulling them back like I did for MG, but I really normally like Lizbeth's curls and I didn't want to ruin them so... I didn't. Next time a higher pony or hair clips, I think.

Also, they need their lavaliers.

They've got some crazy eyes going on, alas.
