I couldn't figure out a way to say no, honestly. I figured the size thing would be an easy way out but that didn't pan out. And if they'd been anything other than sneakers I'd have been able to say I don't wear anything but sneakers. If he hadn't fallen off the planet in November-ish, I'd say it wasn't as weird because we'd text a fair bit but then he disappeared and eh. I dunno, just weirdness all night. All niiiiiiiiiiiight.
