AG preview: holiday 2017

impyGrr. I hate it when people find the item codes for new AG stuff and don't share them but instead just share the pics. I'd understand if they were doing because they didn't want AG shutting down the links, but dude. This is AG. Half this stuff is going live tonight anyway and the other half, well... you've seen their IT issues. They aren't prepped to shut things down. :P
I wouldn't mind half as much if they'd just keep the file names the same so I could go all tricky that way but either they change them or the service they upload them to changes them so there goes that. I'm also too lazy to want to go and do all this hard work for something that'll be done for me in *hopefully* a few hours.
Not going to do the Nanea stuff just yet in case they actually show up on the site sometime in the next hour or so.
Since I think the MyAG stuff is set for later in the week, I'll go ahead and share these and we'll discuss the annual holiday travesty. :p
More doll nail polish. I'm going to need more information about this set before I can say one way or another if I'm interested. In theory it should be right up my alley: I love nail polish and dolls. However I could just use the money I could spend on this and buy polish for myself.
This is being labeled a traveling outfit. It's... I don't know what it is, honestly. I think I like the shirt and the skirt, and they even sort of go okay together, but that shawl looks woefully out of place. The doll's cute enough that she distracted me from the overall WTF for a minute or three.
Pumpkin and apple pie, y'all.
New table and chairs. You ever get the feeling they've been phoning these sets in for awhile? I swear, only the colors change. *looks up the current set* Yup. The table is white/grey? Really? How did I miss that? Huh. That said, I don't dislike the table or the chair designs, I'm just not wowed by the table settings, I guess. They somehow blend in to the table. How, how is that possible? If I had the room and the money, should these ever go on sale I'd buy. I think I prefer the current place settings but the table shown here. I must mix and match all the things!
New stable and chicken coop. Gotta admit, if I were the target audience, I'd want this. I still kinda do. Damn you, horse books that made me want to do all kinds of horsey things without ever really wanting to ride a horse.

New 'western'/country dress. I kind of hate myself but I like this, too. There are 'new' hats but really, you've seen one cowboy hat and riding hat and you've seen 'em all.
Snowboarding gear.
Snowboarding outfit. I got nothin'. It's a thing. I think I preferred the old one? I dunno. It's a thing that I won't be buying or paying much attention to because you know what you can't do here? Have fun with snow.
Sledding Set. It's cute. *shrug*
A reindeer. I... AG, you surprise me in all kinds of ways. This is adorable, honestly. Bets on price? $28 seems to be their going rate.
This leaked awhile ago and I only remember this because I made a comment about how I was meh on the whole thing except that I would buy it because the penguin looks like he's plotting something nefarious. And other people agreed. Usually I make these comments and at best I'm ignored and worst I get an, "uh, okay weirdo" kind of comment. But that penguin is definitely up to no good! Also, lookin' good, not!Gabby.

At first I thought this was just a recolor of their Dancing Star outfit but no. No, this one makes that sequined thing look ~classy~. Someone else mentioned maybe it was their Belle knock-off. Maybe it's just hideous. I actually don't think I would have this seething hatred for it if they'd figured out a better way to do the sequined bodice. As it is, it looks painfully cheap.

Annnnnnd this is the holiday dress I will be buying, k? It's simple and pretty and sure, the jeweled belt looking thing looks a bit tacky but man, that just disappears when I remember #3 up there. Not sure why the shoes for this needed the elastic strap though. o_O
Holiday Dress #1
It's been a few hours and I still don't know how to feel about this one. The girl sized version looks a bit better, as the gold kind of pops more there. I like that they're trying something other than yet another red dress. I'm just... I'm going to need to see alternate views on this. This dress is a big reason why I'm ticked no one's bothered to share the item #s for this release because mygod, guys, if you can get the backdoor info for this then you can also see the alternate views. Share with the class, dammit! Also, those shoes are a bit of a snore. I get that with such a busy dress you'd want something simple but really. The dress needs more from the shoes.
Reindeer PJs. I'd like to tell you I won't be falling for these but that would be a lie and we all know it.
And finally I leave you with a mystery. What the hell are these accessories for?
Sooooooo out of this release, based solely on looks and not on prices or anything factual, we've got five buys, three maybes, and 2 WTF, WHYs.
The buys are: the white holiday dress which I likely won't wait too long to get, the reindeer pajamas (ditto though with these I'm betting they'll go on sale and I'll kick myself for not waiting), the country/western dress, the penguin sweater set that I'm going to likely wait for a sale on, and the reindeer.
The Maybes: holiday dress #1, the 'travel' outfit, and the pie set.
I think you can figure out the WTF WHYs. (Belle and the accessories to mystery)
