Monday update

impyIt started raining last night around seven-ish, and this morning it's ramped up from drizzle to full on giant raindrops being hurled through the air like water balloons. I know this because the dog has been out at least four times since I got up around 4:30. That number seems low. Maybe it's been five times...
It's chilly and dark and windy and wet. I neglected to make sure my hoodie was washed so that's going through the dryer now.
Hoodie dried so the next time the dog dragged me out I stayed relatively dry. The hoodie did not. The street is starting to flood and the pond is pretty close to max capacity. The dog is also not shutting the fuck up so the headache I thought I ditched is now coming back full force.
Dog. You are very small and the winds are very big. You do not want to spend the whole damn day outside. I do not want to spend the whole day outside. I do not trust the branches and limbs to not fall and smack me in the face. I mean, the last hurricane I did really well until I slid on the walkway after a walk with the dog and screwed my knee, ankle, and toe up... and I had days off of work after that to recover. That is not the case this time.
