May. 2nd, 2018 11:24 amThe freezer at work died or glitched or something, so by the time I got to work there were signs on all the doors telling people not to open them. People seemed to believe this meant a few different things:
1) Other people shouldn't open them but they could totally open them and pick out a half frozen thing because they were special.
2) The doors were borked but the employees could totally venture to the back and get them icecream that way.
3) Open the door, take out the food and then get pissy when the cashier tries to explain that since dayshift didn't fucking notice the doors not being closed, we have no idea how long the food has been thawing and since all the icecream is now soup (hours and hours later), it's probably not a good idea to eat that, ma'am.
Cig order still didn't print out for me to mess with so who the hell knows if we'll get what we need or if we'll get another week of running out (or simply never having gotten anything in) and having to duck as pitchforks are thrown.
Painted my nails with the freebie polish I got my in Zoya box. Brighton is pretty but I think it leans too yellow or beige or something because it's not the most flattering color on me. Shame since it's pretty much a glitter bomb in every other way. Oh, and I did remember to use my freebie code for April and get my last free bottle of polish. It's not really free since I had to spend the money to buy another one or pay shipping, but y'know, it is what it is.
Gonna go crack open my Joanne Fluke book and try to read before sleep spirits me away.

One of the complaints I've read about IW has to due with how quickly Rocket takes to Thor and how this seems OOC for him... and I disagree. I couldn't tell you a damn thing about comics!Rocket but MCU's Rocket had a very specific arc in GotG:v2. He learned to be less of a dick for the sake of being a dick. Considering he meets Thor as Thor floats in space among the dead people Thor was responsible for keeping safe and how quickly Rocket realizes Thor hasn't dealt with his issues from his run in from Thanos, Rocket gets that Thor needs some time. Perhaps some space. Who knows. But the fact that Thor is also not running straight to Thanos, and is instead going to some place Rocket would very much like to visit (and possibly loot because Rocket's gotta Rocket)... it makes sense. Especially when he takes Groot to keep him out of the fray, too. It's one of the few choices in IW that makes sense during the movie and even after you poke at it to see if it was simply movie logic or real, actual logic at work. This way Rocket gets to keep an eye on Thor, keep teen!Groot safe, and also maybe get some sweet, sweet weaponry.
Oh, and Mums and I watched Doctor Strange Monday night and Wonder Woman Sunday. I kinda wish I'd seen Strange in 3D or hell, even IMAX because it's probably the one Marvel movie that would've worked better there. It still worked just fine on the pretty TV. And Wondy- was the last battle supposed to make sense? Because... um, it was fun but Mums kept asking "wait, how's that happening? When did she get that power?" and stuff like that. I don't know, Mums, I waited to watch the movie with you.
