So Francine Pascal turned 80 a couple of days ago and here's an article about it.

I thought there'd be more to that article but there really wasn't. It's like a post here. Here is a thing that happened and we're done. Don't try coke, kids. Also, really, most of the crazy stuff she mentions doesn't even come in til much, much later in the series. It's killing my fan dork self. KILLING IT.

And two hours later I have fallen down the cover art rabbit hole and I need help. Someone send a life preserver!

Yeah, she makes it sound like the crazy miniseries came a lot sooner than they did. I mean, #7 was definitely wild for its day, but lbr, werewolves and face-stealers are 100 books (and a couple decades) away.

And if she wanted to talk terror, why not mention the abomination that dares not be mentioned (SVC)??
