Hairdorables achievement unlocked

impyFirst rule of blind boxes/bags: unless there's a way to cheat the system (and figure out which one you'll be getting prior to opening/buying), you will always, always wind up with one of the ones you'd like least. Usually as your first offering, but not always.
This entire time I've tried not to look too closely and get attached or dislike any of them. For the most part, the latter is pretty easy because they are all very cute. I think the only one I knew going in that I would be actually disappointed in getting was Rayne Showers and since she's the ~ultra rare~ I didn't worry too much about that scenario happening. I also knew that the one I most wanted was also not going to happen because she's one of the rares.
With that in mind, let's find out which Hairdorables I got, shall we?
Bella Bows!
Seriously, I'm not going to draw this out. Of all the characters, Bella is probably the one I'm least interested in and so of course she's my first. The doll is cute, but while I'm normally all googly eyed over green eyes on dolls, these aren't my fav. She's cute, though that outfit ain't my fav. So we're off to a predictable start in that if I had to choose a least favorite from the entire line, Bella Bows probably would have been it. (The art, however, is so cute it hurts.)
Box #2:
Roller Rayne!
While I did hope like mad for no doubles (and I got lucky on that front), holy fuck do I have a crapton of the braids sticker. Rayne here came with two of the same one and of course it was the braid one. Because I needed three or more. Rayne's cute when she's in front of me and I'm smooshing her hair down but when it tries to go back into the packaging shape I'm a little less in love. But I do love me a skater girl, so who can complain too much?
I debated saving my third box for tomorrow like I originally planned. But since neither Rayne nor Bella was one of the characters I really wanted or even my second tier of hopes I wasn't supposed to have but you all knew I would anyway... I opened box number three.
I mean really, you know me. I have no fucking willpower unless it's also fueled by spite.
Gonna draw this out for a second. Sorry, not sorry. Opened the first compartment and it tells you nothing because it is a comb.
I don't even remember what the second compartment is but when I got to the shoes I thought, "Huh. Those look familiar..."
Got to the hair accessory and went, "Wait, I know that one, don't I?" Because remember, I really tried not to memorize anything so as not to bring down the wrath of Rule #1.
Box #3:
Super Neila
Still in shock. You could probably still knock me over with a feather if you were into that sorta thing. My dared not truly hope for happened. If you heard a squee of excitement, that was me. Sorry.

The lighting all sucks because it's raining for like the 15th day straight and I'm not sure I'm even exaggerating at that. I don't even mean light summer daily rain. I mean flood warnings and shit.

That's the only rare I really wanted, but I have no prayer of getting one without overpaying, so I'm rather in awe that you got one so easily after I did so much work on these and don't have much to show for it. The line hates me. Amazon hates me. QVC hates me. I just need one thing to go right today and so far, eh.

Date: 2018-08-04 05:49 pm (UTC)Basically, I'm mad about Amazon skipping me over, I'm mad at Hairdorables in general, I'm mad at QVC for not shipping my stuff while other people already have theirs in hand and I'm worried about having to take off Friday, and I'm worried about getting my $200 bear package in the regular mail on Monday, because service has been screwy since Thursday at least. I'm just a big ball of unhappy right now.
