Spooky story is day 6. Y'know, for living in one of those cities that's forever boasting about how many ghosts they have running around, I'm lacking terribly in the spooky story department. I've missed out on most of the ~ghost hunting~ adventures and the two I did go on had mixed results. The ghost deer were freaky as hell though.
But there is one that I've probably mentioned before. The house I grew up in had a garage that wasn't attached to the house. It was off to the side and about as far back on our property as you could go before hitting the neighbors in the back and the neighbors to the right. But there was just enough room to walk around the side/back, especially if you were a kid. The boy and I weren't really supposed to go back behind the garage because a) my parents couldn't see us and b) snakes could be a thing because this is the south. Truthfully, the other end of the back yard was probably more dangerous considering it's where Dad threw the dead leaves we got the joy of raking up but hey. Kid!me enjoyed the adventuring back there so whatever.
Couldn't tell you the time of year or how old we were, but I do remember following my brother behind the garage during some game where we were pretending to be spies and I was chasing him. Imagine my surprise when I look down and see blood and not just a drop or two but enough that the boy really should have noticed before racing on ahead of me. I shrieked or froze or something and he circled back and then he took one look at what he'd originally missed and he definitely freaked out. He ran to get Mom and I decided I didn't want to stick around alone back there, so I went to the back porch and waited. I didn't have to wait too long because you mention blood to a mother and she's going to get the lead out. We took her around the easier way for the adults (so approaching it backwards from the way we had) and... nothing. And I don't mean the blood had dried and thus gotten harder to see, I mean it was all gone. Like it had never been there. She thought we'd made the whole thing up and was NOT pleased. We were ordered to stay away from the garage (well, the outside anyway) and probably got in trouble for lying.
Sometimes I wonder if my brother remembers any of this.

Also, I feel like I'm forgetting a very obvious scary story but frick if I know what it is.
