impyYesterday was Dad's birthday and I had plans. PLANS. I was gonna go with Mums to her doctor's appointment and then we were gonna hit Kohl's and use her coupon. Maybe stop for lunch somewhere, come home, nap... do something nice for dinner, watch a movie or something.

Did.
Nothing.
To be fair, my feet hurt from work and I fell asleep and so I didn't go to the doctor's. Which is just as well as Mums didn't come back for quite awhile after and I'd have been grumpy as hell. She did bring back lunch (as I told her she could if she wanted to get something) and then she napped and I did dishes that nearly killed me. Then she went out again to get the boy and I napped with the lights on because I figured she'd be home soon. Cut to 10:30PM... My plans, they didn't come to fruition. And because I napped with my glasses/lights on, as well as the weird weather, I now have part of a sinus headache. I mean, the weather's to blame but I'm going to pretend the others played some part in it as well.
Some years his birthday is really hard and this was one of those. I don't know why and I don't really feel like examining the possible reasons. Maybe there aren't any. Maybe some years are just going to hit you right in the feels and the only reason is because someone you love has been gone for a very long time at this point and you miss them.

That was from maybe...3am? I went to sleep and woke up late but I feel a lot better and less weepy, so perhaps I also just needed some sleep. In any case, today's been rainy and dreary but I started if off in a fairly petty way and I feel good about that. :P
There's an asshat in the AG fandom (shocker!) and we'll just call her Wafflebrain because she's the same asshat who named their black doll Jemima and doubled down on it even when some of the nicest, hardest to ruffle people were like, "um, maybe don't? Because at best you look like an ignorant fool and at worst, racist as hell." She's also the same one who so DESPERATELY wants to be a mod that it's pretty obvious to even the mods who've mostly checked out. She's ruining my ability to love Nanea properly and all around I dislike her for many, many reasons not even listed here. Her newest trick is hotlinking pictures and also being a fucking liar.
In her Nanea thread, she posted a picture of Nanea in a "traditional Greek costume" and when asked for a link, said it was a friend's who didn't want her info on the internet. Said image was hotlinked from ebay where this outfit has failed to sell at least twice that I could find in less than a minute. I'm not sure if this was her way of trying to get someone to find and buy the outfit or if she's just that shitty at lying, but I posted the link anyway. I also snapped, in the nice AG fandom way, at her when she snippily asked why Luci dares to still be available. Because, you fuckwit, if AG continued to single Gabby out by having the ONLY black GOTY be the ONLY GOTY available for longer than her year, it'd look even worse than Gabby's run already did. This has been mentioned in LITERALLY every single "will Luciana be available in 2019?" thread and I know your ass has been posting in those.
I loathe her because I could probably overlook a fair amount of this and try to be helpful with the rest if she didn't happen to be 30-something years old. You're too old to be this ignorant, fuckface.
My next mission was to try and work on my room which spiraled into a mess by the end of the year. I'm not really sure how well I did, but I do have a pile of things to recycle, some trash, and I did go through some makeup/samples and get rid of things. Some made me sad as I found a makeup bag I'd lost and it had one of my favorite glosses ever but time had marched on and it died. Woe. But I also found the end of one of my favorite perfumes so that's nice. Gonna make myself a late lunch and then work on collecting most of my nail polishes and seeing if I can sort through and figure out which ones to use in the coming weeks. Also, I really don't need nail polishes hanging out everywhere. :P I do need to repaint my right hand as this particular Essie seems to be sticking around on my left hand and I do like it so we'll reapply.
As for the use it up 2019 philosophy, I used up two of those foil packets of Garnier's Green Apple/Green Tea (I think) shampoo/conditioner that I know I like. Working on a Dove bodywash sample before I figure out which bodywash to work through next. I also finished two books, though I'm not really sure how to rate one. The other I really liked but I suspect that people who are super familiar with the series might feel otherwise. *shrug*
Oh, and aftereurohackie's post, I checked LT and found that I also won a book! Everything Grows, so it's even one that not!3am me thinks sounds interesting.
Time to fix some food and then sort some polish. Wish me luck.

I consider nail polish a vice, though, and refuse to feel guilty about how much I have. It's a fairly cheap hobby, and I've gotten lots of compliments on my nails, so *shrug*

The cat seems to agree with me and who am I to argue with the cat?
