New glasses acquired. I'm guessing this new prescription is a bit stronger than the change last year because I'm definitely going to need a nap or something and reading is out of the question for the next hour or more.
Stopped at Target after picking up my glasses. When did Target decide to suck fulltime? It was after 11 and they didn't have any regular registers open despite there being a line starting to wrap past the jewelry counter. Also, they didn't have most of the stuff I went in for. :/ They had the soda, but that was about it. I grabbed an alternate food option for Ozma, figuring that if she hates it, the boys will probably eat it, but still.
I swung by the toys and picked up two clearance GG puzzles and Adora from the clearanced She-Ra line. No Catra and I'm ticked because she never did show up online for me to grab and I never found her in store. Figures, I wanted two figures and one of them never appeared for me. :(
I'm a little more than halfway done with my SVH recap, but the part that's left involves the quotes and that involves reading so... nap time, I think.

Date: 2020-01-08 01:06 am (UTC)Target has definitely taken to the whole "self-checkout" biz pretty heavily. I use it all the time because I like to bag my own groceries, but it can be a pain when the only lines that are open are the self-checkout ones. I had 3 years on a till in retail hell, so I am pretty efficient, but most people either aren't, or let their kids do everything so it takes 100x as long to complete their transaction.
Yay new glasses! Boo new glasses headache! :(

Date: 2020-01-09 01:49 pm (UTC)I don't mind self checkout when I have a few bags worth of stuff (three, I think, depending on the bagging area size/set-up) but I rarely make it out of Target without spending like, $60 and that means we've passed the three bags and then some. It's a pain in the ass but the realization that they don't really seem to open the regular registers at least before noon is just... why. WHY. It was bad enough when they didn't open them up til 10 but approaching noon as the homeschool moms flood the store is the special hell.
New glasses headache is gone! Alas, I'm still getting used to whatever changed beyond the frames. Behold! New glasses. Only mine don't have any green really.
