impySo I've been squirreling away funds for an AG purchase as I tend to do at the start of the year. I wasn't quick enough to have said funds for the sale last week? Two weeks ago? I have completely lost all ability to tell time, truly. Anyway, I need to make said purchase before the end of the month, or at least A purchase, because I somehow have a $5 coupon and I don't wish it to go to waste.
I'm fairly certain that sometime relatively soon they'll do another sale because AG usually does something for Easter. So do I just do the bare minimum order-wise and wait or do I just decide frick it and order whatever? I have a very long list of things I'm eying which means I'd be better off waiting for a sale of some sort, but I also don't want to play backorder roulette if I don't have to do so. I could split things into two orders: do whatever the smallest amount to get free shipping is, but that's still pretty pricey and I'd have to do this *twice* which is a pain in the butt. *muse*
Well, let's look at the possibilities, shall we?
So, I know at some point in this I'll likely be buying Kira because I think she's beautiful. ♥ The only downside to this is that space is at a premium around here and I do have a billion dolls and also there's the whole new line they're doing in the fall. But Kira is, at this point, almost a done deal. Like my bank notes say, "For Kira." :P
From her collection, I'm most drawn to her PJs (so cute) and her Totally!Not!Julie's outfit as well as her accessories with the cute koala keychain, though I might hold off on that for now.
I've also been seriously considering grabbing Courtney's mix n match stuff, which is... a lot. Right now that'd be her sneakers, her cardigan, her Zach Morris shirt, and her skirt/suspenders set. Maybe, if there's a sale, I'd eye the flats/leggings/shirt duo. Definitely the jacket if it came off backorder prior to an order.
Doll wise, I waffle on Courtney. I'm on record, multiple times, about my feelings towards the Classic mold. But I suspect that when I read her books, I will really like Courtney. *muse* She's not a contender for this, btw, just a general ramble. I think I'd probably just rather buy her Meet outfit and pass on the doll, though if I start seeing some super cute Courtneys, I might be persuaded that I needed her if only to portray classic!Stacey McGill.
Another option is to grab the Travel outfits/accessories because I have no idea whether they'll be a semi long term thing for AG or a flash in the pan and I really like two full sets (France & Ireland), find the British one amusing enough to want all of, and will happily skip off with the accessories for the other two.
Yet another option is to go through the character dolls and grab things from them that I've missed. This one is slightly less likely unless there's a specific sale on the items but hey, you're bored and I'm bored, so let's list the stuff I'm missing and interested enough to consider.
In no real order, we begin with Maryellen:
Back to School Outfit, Sledding Outfit, and uh... wow. That's it, actually. I will admit that ME the doll is cracking my resolve on wanting a classic mold doll but uh, I can see why people freaked out thinking poor girl was on the chopping block. Or maybe not, maybe I just kept up better with her outfits. *muse* No, it's still slim pickings in ME's world.
Julie
Julie's Birthday Outfit is a definite want, but I'd wait for an actual sale on the gifts. PJs and Robe, Pinball Outfit, and her Christmas Outfit are all varying shades of probably. If I had the room, I'd totally buy that pinball machine. Sigh.
Melody
I think I'm just missing her accessories, her floral/wallpaper dress, and her new Doo-wop dress.
Nanea
Nanea's Holoku Dress is the most likely of all the historical things (not counting Courtney's stuff) to come home. I also still want her birthday accessories because a tiny camera and stuff? Cute.
Rebecca's stuff is off the table for now as most of it's backordered and the one item that isn't is one I own the nearly identical version of. I might, if I go for a backorder thing, grab Murph from Joss's collection because somehow I never picked her up. That would open things up for the other Joss things (her cheer stuff in general, really) I didn't grab.

There's a reason I do this right before bed. I get very, very sleepy. I slept most of Sunday away and now it's looking like I'm about to do so for Sunday night, too.
