First, the annoyance. I spent a good chunk of my day off doing a survey because they were like, hey, $100 to watch non-reality TV. Why the heck not. And you didn't even have to do it all at once- you could spread it out over three days allegedly.

Yeah. No. There was no obvious way to leave and come back so once you started, you had to finish or completely forfeit your payout. So I watched TEN FUCKING HOURS of a show that I would not have normally chosen to binge like that and then after answering every question, I get the "oooh, sorry, not every survey can be a winner, here's 5 points for your trouble."

FUCK THAT SHIT. I want my points/money. I let them slide on their smaller/shorter survey fail last month but this? Nope. Ten+ hours of my life? Gimme what was promised.

In other news, because I ordered something from AG, they're immediately coming out with new stuff. I previously shared their banner for the Street Chic for Truly Me line and I think today might be launch day as it's on the main splash page ( do they still call them that? I'm old) but not really shopable yet. Still, I'm able to ferret some things out more easily than others.

From what I can tell, she's got hazel eyes, brown hair with blue and green mixed in, and the Josefina mold. She's actually much cuter than I anticipated. I don't love camo, like ever, but good lord, she's making me wish I'd actually waited a smidge on Kira. She's also giving me major "sporty one of the group" vibes. Not necessarily Sporty Spice, just... sporty. I hate her shoes thought. Not sure if it's a full on hate, or just hate with this outfit. Might be full on hate though because they look like the chunk-o-plastic shoes AG rolled out when they were cutting corners and have kept around because... who knows? In any case, they DO NOT go with this outfit.

I was willing to buy this just for the boots but something here feels... off. Maybe it's the overly matchy-matchy with the blues. Maybe it's my brain still doesn't fully process fun hair colors on AG dolls. Maybe it's me really wishing they'd gone with the dark blue eyes because all the blue is just fading into one big blue patch. I think I'd be okay with the rose if it were pink or just the born to shine thing but both just looks unfortunate. I will say that the rose is embroidered apparently (I guess it could be a patch but they've been doing embroidery for a few things) but the Shine bit looks like a graphic that will peel and crack over time.

Doll wise, I think this is the one I'd most need to see restyled.

On paper, she should be my favorite. Purple hair? Check! Sonali mold? Yup! Grey eyes? FUCK YES. But somehow she looks washed out. I think it's because AG's weird about their lipcolor these days (I might've previously bitched about this?) especially on their darker skin dolls. I'm hoping that actual pictures will make her more appealing. Why? Why would you want to spend more money, self?! But yeah. I actually like the shorts (again, the detail is nice) but I hate the top so... eh. It might just be the graffiti or the colors feel like they clash (red and purple are not my favorite combo) because I don't mind the weird sleeves. I'm also going to be wildly inconsistent and like the hunk-o-plastic shoes on this one. I just wish the doll herself didn't look so faded.

So uh, I really like the accessories. Like once the site is up and you can order them, I will likely snag them because I am a sucker for a good AG necklace and I like the socks. Hell, the beanie's cute, too, even if I think it absolutely does nothing for anyone other than camo girl. The shades aren't my fav but they're different and dolly money will always make me happy. Throw in a cell and really, I give this one a yay.

Based on the pricing (the Accessories show up in the search for $30), it looks like the outfits are possibly restricted to the dolls they're shown on which is... a choice but I'm not going to hold this as complete gospel until the site actually allows one to shop. However, if this is their choice, I think it's kind of dumb since some people might want the outfit but not the doll and aren't likely to blow $110 on a doll just to strip her and keep the clothes. Historicals and character dolls are different. Truly Me? Supposed to be a clone army. You can do this sort of thing with Barbie because they're a much, much lower price point.

If you'd told me that my favorite of the bunch by FAR was green/blue haired doll, I'd have said you were on something but uh, here we are.

WTF kinda survey were you doing?! Is it not one where you could just leave whatever running for the 10+ hours because who the hell does that?! I somehow got looped into being a Nielson household even though when I did their TV survey I basically had nothing to put down because I was gone for 12+ hours a day and only watched a couple hours before bed, all reruns at that. I figured they'd drop me like a stone after that, but apparently once you're in, you're in, LMAO.

As for the dolls: meh to camo, the blue is TOO MUCH BLUE (I didn't think such a thing was possible and yet, here we are), and the purple hair is too...shiny? for the doll its on. Like, it looks like a bad dye job? Maybe that's what you mean by the doll looking washed out, in which case, I agree 1000%.
