ugh. Anyone got a keyboard rec? Mom and the cat killed mine and this is the old one which uh, yeah, is not sustainable for long because I will lose my mind. I'm just lucky I still had this one, so I'm trying to keep my complaints to a minimum.

So far the options seem to be: spend a billion on a rainbow LED thing, spend 12 on the most basic of the basic, or wade through a million wireless ones and wonder if maybe it'd be worth it, but know deep down that you would run out of batteries at the most inopportune times.

I ♥ my typewriter/mechanical keyboard, but if you're not willing to spend $70 (and why would you be?), I can honestly say that the Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo which sells for less than $20 at Target is perfectly adequate. In fact, I just bought one for work (apparently they are willing to spring for a wireless mouse, but not a keyboard - WTAF). The batteries are supposed to be long-lasting (24 months for the mouse, 18 for the keyboard) so you just have to keep AAs and AAAs on hand, which most people do anyway.

I did take a moment to go back and find the post where you showed off your snazzy keyboard once I got the old one working. I shall have to keep the Target one in mind as a possible option, though the nephew has a sixth sense about batteries and goes through them like crazy.

Good to know the mouse is important and the keyboard isn't. o_O
