Sweet, sweet AC

They came and fixed our AC yesterday afternoon. It's a damn good thing because yesterday morning was hot as hell and this morning was basically like trying to wade through soup. Humidity is a beast and I loathe it. I have to figure out what to do with my second fan now. One will just go where the black one was but I don't really want two big ol' fans in my room on a regular basis, especially with Adora running around. Plus uh, I bought her a TV scratching post/house and it's not huge or anything but my room isn't gigantic to begin with and I collect a lot of stuff so space is at a premium.



Last night was P's last night at work. :( I'm happy she's escaping but sad because I have not.


Ugh, breakfast, why did you suddenly become not a great idea? Food should not pretend it's fine until you've eaten half of it and then you take a bite and think, "oh hell, this tastes weird." :/ I do not wish to get ill, dammit.

Sunday was relatively cool so I assembled her TV and unlike Ozma who never did warm up to her Halloween castle, Adora moved in right away. She did take a flying leap (like just sideways and back) when she first noticed the crinkle ball antennae but overall this was a solid $13. Occasionally she'll drag her pickle over and kind of tuck it in to the bottom for safe keeping. It's very cute. This was from the first day so you can't see her towel that I took out of the carrier after her vet visit and she's been tucking her toys in there, too. ♥

I'm hoping that with it being cooler now she'll go back to snuggles. She had been just kind of climbing over me while I tried to sleep or read and just curling up in my arms like we'd been doing snuggles for ages. Then it got way too hot for that so she stopped.

Oh, and this morning I sent my "help me, I'm poor" form in so here's hoping I filled it in correctly the first time and they accept it.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY AC! OMG, you must feel 1000% better just hearing that hum.

Adora is an adorable lil void kitty, isn't she! ZOMG ♥ And I love that TV! I wish Mr. B wanted more to do with boxes because I think cats + boxes = adorable on overdrive, but alas.

Is that the "I'm kind of a big dill" pickle toy? I have come thisclose to picking one up for Mr. B because eeeee so cute! but he doesn't seem to like the crinkles too much. His favorites are actually the little Petlinks catnip mice that come three to a pack. His catnip carrot is actually a kitten toy (though I'd have to believe its bigger than a kitten if he can bunny kick it, long as he is!).

Mr. B has taken to sticking his mouse toys into places where I can't get them out very easily, which has led to me crawling around on my belly trying to fish them out from under everything, LOL. He even figured out a way to stuff them in the hidden ball track on the Aldi cat tree!

Seriously, realizing that the AC was actually fixed because I was no longer definitely overheating, even in the direct path of two fans on blast? Nearly cried.

She is! I call her my little voidling and she just looks at me like I'm weird. I wanted the TV for the boys when Widget said they needed a scratching post thing but he wants something sturdier (which is fair, they are chonks) but it was on sale and she's so little and I was worried she'd get bored without SOMETHING. Does Mr. B sit in other things or is he above such foolishness?

It is! It doesn't crinkle a ton but enough that I can get her attention with it and I can tell myself it's not just a toy, it's a chew toy. :p *notes Mr. B's preferences just in case* Now I'm imagining a larger than kitten sized catnip carrot being bunny kicked into oblivion.

Aww, he's saving them for later as a surprise for him and for you!

Mr. B does not really sit in boxes or the like. He does, however, sit on anything that I'm doing when he thinks my attention should be on him, LOL. He also isn't much for scratching posts. He uses them, but he'd rather claw at carpet or fabric. He does like to roll around under the scratcher of the Aldi cat tree, so I'm trying to decide if he'd like a tunnel or not.
