Hello, October

Ahhh. October. My downstairs looks like Halloween threw up all over the place and it is GLORIOUS. It'd be better if I could settle on displays I like but I'm getting closer.

Unfortunately I'm also exhausted. I think it's period time very, very soon (boo) so that might have something to do with it.

Still, Halloween!

My morning walk yielded nothing of major note except at some point one of the neighborhood signs got destroyed. I don't know if it was during Ian or if someone else destroyed it and it just hasn't been fixed.

Alas, it's now crept up to the mid 70's which isn't terrible for October here but after yesterday's icy chill, it's definitely warm.

Looking forward to our read-along! I'm about halfway through the SVT Super Chiller and so far it's not too bad. Opening with "Steven is an asshole" pranks was not a good move, but he hasn't shown up again in a major way...yet.

I do wonder if there was a scoreboard like, "Steve acted like a saint in SVH, better make him a real asshole in SVT/SVU" or if they just in general figured Janet couldn't shoulder the weight of being the only source of petty drama.

It's been a minute since I read any SVU, but I don't remember him being quite as assholish as he is in SVT. I'm pretty much expecting Steven shenanigans to be at the back of whatever's going to happen at this supposedly haunted burial ground, though the mediumistic-quality of Kala is at least interesting (if a bit cringeworthy, 30 years later).
