impyStill sick but managing to get a few things done. I went in to work Saturday and stayed the whole night. Huzzah! I then overdid it at home by staying up entirely too late, talking on Skype with my uncle (no regrets) and then on the phone with Cass for entirely too long. My ass shouldn't have taxed my voice or the rest of me like that, so it'll surprise no one to know that when I woke up from my slumber yesterday my eyes were forked again and I was coughing up my lungs again. It probably didn't help that part of the reason I was awake so long yesterday was trying to do all the sick bedding laundry and I have a few blankets that can't go in the dryer, at least not on regular settings. So my blankets were out of play and by the time I crawled into bed, I was too tired to grab the blankets under my CB catalogs. So for a few hours I was stupidly trying to sleep in my room, with the fan on, with one thin blanket and a scratchy sheet. My brilliance astounds me, people.
But once I had enough sleep to reactivate my working braincell, I turned the fan off, grabbed two more blankets and managed to sort that out. That still led to the unfortunate eyes and coughing of doom, but that dragged me downstairs to make dinner (reheated breakfast leftovers) and grabbed new water bottles so as not to be using the ~infected~ ones and vowed that if I woke up coughing, it was time to swig water like crazy. So far it's been working out okay. My eyes are still kinda *waves hand* but nowhere near as bad as they had been, so I think it's just my body deciding all snot must go. Ugh.
I've been trying to nap more often, which means I'll get up, get something to drink and mess around on the computer for a bit before going back to sleep. Had to do that this morning for caffeine as I do NOT need a caffeine headache in the mix. I did get annoyed when I read a message from the nephew asking if I could put up the rest of Christmas today. Originally I wasn't as mad because I read it as basically hey, can you put out the stuff I know you keep inside that's fragile and maybe swap out some of the Halloween stuff like normal. Which fair. I've normally done that already but this whole sick thing has me running behind. But no, when I read it again, he meant go out in the shed and dig through boxes to get Christmas stuff. DUDE. I can barely work up the energy to drag my ass downstairs sometimes, what makes you think I can fight your bike (why is this bike still here? He does not use it and it's not actually his) on my own (it takes the two of us to move it when he wants to use it!) and... no. Plus, he never put away the pumpkins like I asked him to do Saturday. So I sent that message and then later did put most of the pumpkins in an AG shipping box with two left over. Left a note about them and how easy it'll be for him to pop them in one of the half empty boxes of Halloween stuff and reminded him that I can't/won't move the bike right now. But he must've had work early today because the pumpkins are still on the couch and his backpack is gone. Siiiiiiiiiiigh.
Sorry for that rant. I did manage to do the other thing I HAD to do and cleaned Adora's box. It took longer than usual because it needed time to just soak and also sit out in the sun, but I also needed time to sit on my ass and ponder whether it's worth asking my brother for a new catbox for Christmas since I know he's not going to buy me MH for a gift. *muse*
Anyway, the subject is in reference to my confusion. I checked to see if my paycheck is pending and it is. And it's more than my last paycheck. The paycheck that's missing at least half a day, maybe more, is more than my last normal paycheck. o_O I know this one had holiday pay, which is why I wasn't stressing as much on this one (next check though...) but maybe this means my second raise went through sooner than I thought?
Or maybe it's just holiday pay with the first raise was enough to offset things. Huzzah! Oh, and it's not like it's massively more than normal check. We're talking like... five bucks or so but still.
