...today is not off to a great start. I am a bundle of stress and annoyance. I knew my last paycheck was gonna be smaller because I didn't have enough PTO hours to cover my vacation but fuck it, I needed a full week so I took it. And things were okay, bill wise, but I was down to like, my last eight bucks or so after paying the insurance. (Let us not discuss how that's still not settled, k?) But this is fine because literally everything else had been paid til next payday. WOO. I admit I had to shift funds funds from my other bank but still. Done!

...imagine my surprise when I check, on a whim, at the end of my lunch break and see it's in the negative. To the tune of them charging me TWO NSF fees... for one transaction. Because for some dumbass reason, Amazon charged my KU to that account and not the one I told it to charge. Or the other as a backup. I'm willing to assume I was the dumbass there, though and maybe fiddled with something and forgot it.

But I'm not paying two fees for one charge (I am kicking myself for not paying how I initially intended to, though) because they claim that they were both pending at the same time. Um, only in that you technically made them be pending at the same time because you wanted more of my "I'm currently broke" money. So after the chat person told me the why, I had to call to ask them refund the second fee (funny how that's never been a thing I had to do before). So I did. The guy was super nice and had an idea for how to keep this fuckery from happening again (after asking if I wanted to kill the overdraft protection, which I considered, but decided to keep in case I need it for something actually important) so he transferred me to department 3. So now I have to wait and see if Department 2 gives me my money back, if Department 3 gives the go-ahead, and if C pays me back for the thing she had me buy her last month.

I hate bank shit. We just had issues on Tuesday. Mom got her social security several days before. Her available balance was big enough that I knew it had gone in. (Her account is a joint account for both of us, so every time I check mine, I see the balance on that account, too.) So we paid the rent. Then the bank starts acting like we had a negative balance, because the social security didn't drop into the "posted" section until a few days after we paid. It said it was available. We had a negative posted balance, but never a negative available balance. We went to the bank, afraid we were going to get a charge and the lady said we shouldn't, as on her end, it looked like we had the money. Thankfully, she was right, but now we have to be careful when we pay the rent. Ugh.

I was a little afraid to pay my bills last night, even though we get paid Wednesdays now and it says it's available. But I went ahead and did it. It says I have a negative posted balance, but they're not sending me any emails saying that like they did Mom. I have no idea what the hell that was.

Meanwhile, I'm going to take a page from your book and dissect the AG birthstone outfits in a moment. Heh.
