Happy New Year! 2023 decided to go out with claws slashing, as the cat clawed the living shit out of my hand when I was balancing on her scratching post (in my defense, she wasn't using it at the time and it was literally for less than thirty seconds) and also our oven died. Again. I don't understand. I swear, this has happened here and at the last place, but the entire time I was growing up, I don't think our oven ever died? I'm including my teen through whenever we moved out of our last house time, too. So wtf? It's not even like I can say oh, we're using it more or anything. o_o

I guess it's not technically dead as it'll get up to a certain point but then stop soooooooo... not all that useful.

Anyway. Not the reason I'm updating this fine New Year's Day. Sweet Valley people! We're getting NORA MERCANDY! I went to check on my preorders (newest little golden GG book has shipped, SVT graphic novel has not) and noticed that there's a new SVT graphic novel coming out in May. For whatever reason they swapped books 3 and 4, so we get Amy tomorrow and Nora in May for early Halloween hijinks! :D

Yay! I noticed the SVT graphic novel thing in the preview for book #2. Odd that it's coming out in May, but at least they didn't skip it altogether. Pretty sure B&N is also running some sort of sweepstakes for the next SVT graphic novel. I will wait and get mine from the library =)

Maybe they will grace us with a character list at last?? One can only hope!!

I'm stupidly happy we get Nora and don't have her being skipped. :D I'm not sure why they flip flopped the books but hey, May's about the time my Halloween senses start to tingle again so that's not terrible timing.

Oh, my gods. I would do terrible things for a proper character list for this series. Just... do it, guys. *crosses fingers and hopes*
