Saw the trailer for Dead Boy Detectives, which threw me down the Black Parade rabbit hole, and now I'm in Decemberunderground territory. I regret nothing beyond having to go to work tonight, really.

Cass also reminded me that it's Torrid Cash time, so I went to see if anything spoke to me now that I know that I've ordered Mom's gift and that this month's PPU isn't really sparking anything in me beyond casual want. Wound up buying a new bra, new shorts, and two shirts. Gonna have Mom look and see if anything speaks to her just in case, otherwise I think I'm good. I do have a few things left on the wishlist but only so much on my card.

Hit my 20th work anniversary on Monday and Tuesday night I was given my 20 year pin and the code to peruse the gift catalog. It's basically a sea of meh. I figure the electronics are probably a miss just because otherwise they'll break, but why do they have FIVE floor cleaning options? Kinda leaning towards silverware or the glassware. I also like one of the jewelry options but I don't wear rings because when I do, bad luck follows. I know this is just a coincidence and I do have a ring that doesn't seem to trigger that, but I don't know where it is and also I don't think a ring earned from my descent into madness isn't going to be cursed.

Congrats(?) on 20 years of steady employment, if nothing else. Rather nice that they are going to give you a gift of some sort! I'm with you, I'd pick something worth having that isn't going to break anytime soon. I'm about 4 years from that anniversary myself, and the gift guide is kinda legendary. Good vibes to you!!

Thankies! I went ahead and picked out some bakeware this morning as I had it narrowed down to that or a casserole kinda dish whose reviews were either amazing or "but even if it cracks in half, you'll get a replacement because the warranty is fab!" which is nice, but won't feed me the night it breaks should it come to that.

And legendary in a good way or like 5 different floor cleaners and some already outdated electronics legendary?

You can never go wrong with bakeware! Excellent choice =)

Our gift catalog is legendary in a good way (altho who knows, in four years' time it might not be so!). They are very stringent about order time, tho. I know at least one person who hemmed and hawwed so long that they missed the deadline and there was no mercy.

I'm hopeful! If nothing else, it'll get me to bake/cook more, maybe. :)

Ours has a 6 month window and once it closes, you're screwed. I'm guessing I missed my ten year anniversary one because it fell during the year of moving twice. I get kids selling wrapping paper vibes from our catalog, so I hope yours lives up to the hype and doesn't change for the worse before you get to peruse and snag something. :D
