Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
[Because I love The Fairly Oddparents]
1. Pictures of Wanda & Cosmo from the aforementioned Cartoon Goodness. One, two, six hundred and twelve, I'm in my Fairly Fairy Love stage. :)
2. Make me something. Icon, fanfic, collage of shtuff that screams "Imp!", CD, whatever. It could be fun.
3. Contributions towards the "Pullips take over Bob, then the world" foundation. Pullips = Princi, Panda, & Alice. Such goodies might include a new sister [Oren. Weep. Fanatica, not out til January], clothes [Barbie doesn't need her own clothes, damn it], furniture [Bratz & Barbie stuff both seem to work], little odd accessories. Just beware shoes. They've got odd feet.
4. Those old Sweet Valley books you don't love anymore that you stole from your sister, best friend, someone you hated and wanted to see them cry? Yeah. Send 'em to me. I'll love 'em. Promise. Even if it's that one I have 12 copies of already.
5. Tell me a story. This is not to be confused with 2. Item 2 is all about me, damn it, and this one can be about anything or anyone. I've tried to be good and not hit everyone here up with my whining about no one ever telling me a story, but this is your chance to keep that whining to a minimum.
6. Mean Girls! or any other Lindsay Lohan thing, except Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. I like Lindsay, yes I do.
7. Wheel-of-Amazon-Wishlist! [hint, it's giant and under tcalh24485] Some stuff is there purely for me to oooh and ahhh over the pictures, but it's clearly labeled.
8. Music. Dido [Life for Rent], Sarah McLachlan [Afterglow], Vanessa Carlton [Harmonium].. other stuff I've mentioned in the past.
9. Any and all things Holly, Rose, Shannen, Amber, Angelina, and Eliza. Mmmm.
10. When in doubt, there's always Tori.
That? Hard. Yes.
Off to find lyrics to things, buy presents, and wish my ankle would not hurt so damn much. :p
Wheeeeee! Oh. Panda's photoshoot turned out fairly icky, however a couple of pictures will appear shortly.
Store got robbed again yester-morning. Not me though. Missed it by like, three minutes because my break ran long.
