impyOddly enough an entire plate of spaghetti has not curbed my hunger. Perhaps last night I should have had more than a bag of white cheddar popcorn and some mac&cheese? Hrmm. Entirely possible, I guess.
I'm a wonderfl lapsed Catholic. I had no idea yesterday was Ash Wednesday. :p I'm really that out of the loop. Which isn't a big deal for some people, but usually I had an idea when certain days were. *muse* Only a vague memory of waking up really early and going to church before school when I was younger do I have. Guess that might figure into it.
La. Got Ryan's Valentine's Day card [as in the one I'm sending to him, not to be confused with him actually sending me anything.] and this leads us into a
I, like most bitter, cynical people, do not particularly care for Valentine's Day. It's kind of like having one day a year when people slice you open and pour salt directly on your wounds, all while making out with someone two inches away from you. I can't stand that much afterglow/foreplay going on all around me. It drives me mad.
It also doesn't help that only once have I had a Valentine who did a damn thing for Valentine's Day and that memory is totally ruined by his dramaqueen moment later on. :p Otherwise I'm surrounded by plushies and chocolate and cards and glee, and so much love that I want to kill people I ordinarly love.
And this year I know won't be any different. Because I've been Ryan's valentine before, and you know what? It's pretty much like not having one at all. Only somehow worse. The one exception was the year Arianne tried to get me drunk and we watched classic 80s movies... and talked to him on the phone.
Otherwise, feh. I hate wanting things, knowing full well I won't get them unless I buy them myself. I hate listening to people yammer on about their oh so special days, and I hate it when they can't.
This holiday drives me mad.
[Random] Can't stand a certain Pullip-y person. Which is so odd, because they didn't bother me until very recently and now, well, now it's just like I've lost all sense of humour concerning them. Sigh.
Also, cannot stand people who constantly use abbreviations. So annoying. Certain ones do not bother me, but others... yeah. WTF is about the most I can take before it's just too annoying, and I don't care who you're mocking. Exceptions are made for people I adore. As they tend not to make me want to bash them upside the head with something extremely heavy until they have an excuse for sounding like such a dumbass.
In happier news, I filled out my tax forms and sent them yesterday. Sometime before I croak they should send me my refund. Yay. Assuming nothing goes horribly wrong by the time I get my money, I know part of it will be going towards the Cosmic Duo. Or paying back my savings account for the Duo. Otherwise, no clue. Which is good. Because I got more back when I worked at the gas station than I did this year. That is, btw, so, so, soooooo wrong.
Annnnnnnnnnd, um, actually, I don't remember the other thing I was going to say. Woe. Woe for you.

I had Chickfila for lunch. Meh.
And a fishburger for dinner.
I did end up giving up the croissantwiches for breakfast though. I was planning on giving up soda, but I rarely drink it, so I gave up the croissant thingies since I eat those about 5 times a week. Meh.
I'd save a nice amount of change anyways if I did.
*hugs* I hear ya rant on Vday too. Too bad you don't live in Texas, we could go out to male strip clubs. Hee.
