i'm a sucker for your lucky pretty eyes
Jan. 12th, 2003 07:28 pmSo. I'm supposed to be making my own dinner. Which might not bother me, if I'd been given more than 70 minutes notice. Which, in theory, seems like enough to do whatever I need to do, right? Yeah. Right. No dishes have been done all week [I at least put more than half a load in the dishwasher today] and I'm not sure we even have any food worth eating. I'm, luckily enough, not all that hungry. Maybe after Charmed, although Allison says it's lame beyond comparison this season.
Ah well. Lotsa Buffy LJs out there. Tried linking them all for my friend Calli, but I ran out of energy once I ran into the third buffy and second dawn. If you haven't, you could take Calli's survey. You can wax poetically about Buffy, Charmed, whatever super heroine makes your heart beat with joy.
SURVEY!
It'll help her out, and you can wax poetic about your love affair with... whomever.
Anyway. I cleaned my room like a fiend today because, for the third day this week [sundays kind of get lumped in the last week instead of beginning a new one] arianne was supposed to come over. She didn't. Siiiigh. I'm supposed to go over there tomorrow. I just don't know exactly which there it is. Her house, or Derrick's?
Oh well.
Went to the library the other day and checked out a stack of paperbacks. I realized that I don't tend to read the adult books quite as much as I think is expected of me. But I write and enjoy reading YA stuff. Even if it has become even more name brand-label crazy than in past years. Still, I like them. Especially the influx of the wicca books. Which is weird, when you think about it.
I like in the bible belt. The holy city [no, not the pot-holey city] which is not exactly known for embracing the pagan side of life [if you ignore the circular congregational church where you too can attend a sabbat of your choosing]. Yet the library will at least try to get three books in each wicca/witchy series [except Charmed] and some they adore. *shrug* I live in a weird city.
Speaking of Wicca, I was once accused of being a witch. October of '98. Ari's mom found a book I'd bought because it had alot of myths. It also had spells. Suddenly I was a witch. And I think I might still be under suspicion. *shrug* It was very surreal. Luckily I wasn't burnt at the stake or anything, but I was told to never bring such things into her home again. Later the next year she went to a sabbat at aforementioned church and I began to realize the woman was slightly off her rocker.
So, what have we learned? That I have to go vault into my room and set up to tape Charmed.
Oh! And Allison is a goddess full time now.
