Oh. My. God. A Season 5 episode that only prompted one "Are you stupid?!" shriek, and the rest was pure joy. Such joy that I don't even remember what the shriek was about/for.
The not so good:
Doris' outfit. Ugh. Frumpy much? I know, it's a little quibble, but dammit, Eilish needs a good shriek of horror each week.
How long it took for anyone to figure out that the unicorn wasn't from "El" it was from the Elders. :p Excuses can be made though, so I let it slide.
Victor, in everything but his moment of redemption [y'know, the leap] was annoying. "Yay! A pretty woman stabbed me! Wait, no, I should be dying." *stupid grin*
The good:
We finally get to see the backyard! Or is that again... Not sure which. Anyway, any time spent outside the house but still on their property is rare and joyous for me. Plus it was a nice scene, and them laughing at Leo was cute. :) Loved it, actually. Of course, Piper collapsing ruined the mood a smidge, but hey, what can you do?
Stanley! sure, the guy was nothing more than cannon fodder, but he was amusing. And lovable in that "he's nuts!" sort of way.
The "little flockers" line, as well as the unicorn. I'm a sucker for a unicorn, and I admit it. Plus it was funny to see their reactions. I wonder what they'll do with it, or did the Elders take it back? Wouldn't put it past them.
Piper watches Passions and critiques it. *giggle* Apparently all supernatural dramas have some connection to Passions somehow.
Doris/Victor/Piper: I felt so sorry for Piper, having to listen to talk of her father's love life endlessly, unable to leave. No wonder she didn't notice the evil vibe; she was too busy trying not to retch. :p
General Paige, and her amazing bag of goodies! handcuffs from last Friday. -hehe.. She took charge and it made for an interesting scene. :D Have I mentioned how much I love Paige lately?
Basically, loved the episode. The birth went by a little too fast for me, but no sense in drawing it out, I suppose. I do hope that little baby Halliwell went to the hospital or the doc later and was checked out [what with being born premature and all], but Holly and Brian pulled off perfect reactions. Leo looked thrilled to have a baby, and a son to boot was just icing on the cake. Piper looked confused and then just grateful that he was born at all.
One question though: I thought there was only one wizard left at the end of S4 and then he died... so how do we have another wizard this ep? Or is my brain just frazzled, which is completely possible by the way?
