sweet fancy moses is still amusing.
Jan. 11th, 2004 12:44 amHeh. My eyes decieve me! I thought I saw, "for fuck's sake..." and I don't even remember what I actually saw.
1-800 Missing was relatively good. I kept getting the, "hey, acting" vibe from certain people, but overall, I was entertained. It also made me realize that if I were a more creative person, or one of those people who believed in collaberating on projects, i'd want to create a series that starts off with a sort of formula, and a core group of people you get to like. then halfway through, half of the people you adore, maybe more [depends on if you need a team, or if you can have one central character go out and make new friends] turn out to be the bad guys.
It'd be fun! Even more fun if you liked said evil characters and began to have your view skewed and thought of the 'good guy' as the bad guy. Woo. I would so, so love for that to happen.
Alas, I'm not all powerful. Woe.
So, um, back to the show. Good stuff. Jess thought she was going wonky insane like her brother. She kept seeing things that weren't there. Gasp! Or were they? But any episode with her brother, Doug, is a good episode as far as I'm concerned. Any Jess centric episode can't suck horribly.
Prettiful! despite my dislike of that particular Holly picture, I like the other ones used and the style, so.. prettiful it is.

Saw Phantoms last night. [Rose movie] Woo for UPN. Woe for the movie and me for watching. Rose was cutesy in it [in a good way], but the whole damn thing felt horribly disjointed, so I wonder what, if anything, was cut. I liked the very basic premise of there being something behind these historical disappearances, but .. enh to the movie itself.
Then, after that, I started to rewatch Queen of the Damned before stopping myself. Loved the books they squished for that, am freakishly fascinated by the hackjob the movie turned into. They got rid of my main love of QotD [the twins! the twins, man...], made Armand very, um.. unusual, and basically got rid of all that I loved about the books. And yet, I still watched that first time. Pity Stuart Townsend didn't truly capture the Lestat-yness until LXG.
Rose McGowan will be on Live With Regis and Kelly (in the USA) on Thursday, January 15th on ABC. Enjoy, man.
