I like pointy things
Aug. 21st, 2006 05:48 pmIn today's that's weird news, I signed up for PaperbackSwap namely to request one book in particular, and the first two books I request? Both came from SC. One of them was even in Charleston.
*yawns* I'm sleepy and I really am thinking about going to bed. Only dinner will probably be done within the hour and I loathe going to sleep, waking up and then sleeping some more if I don't have to. And I don't.
Watched the two episodes of House where Foreman got really sick and Steve McQueen came back, if ever briefly. I still cannae stand Cameron and it only sort of bugs me that apparently that's not all that unusual. I still wonder why Chase is there, aside from being the pretty one, but only because I'd like to be able to justify not really caring so long as the Aussie goodness is still there. [As it pertains to the plot, not my own freakish love of Australia.]
I'd feel accomplished about my day had I not made that run to Books A Million. Magazines! *glomp* While I don't really give much of a damn about your average fashion mag aside from when they manage to snag my interest via a nifty story or celebrity, I love September issues. They tend to have really nifty stuff shoved in with them and they're huuuuuuge. What was supposed to be a wistful look at the various import music mags turned much, much more dangerous.
First there was the annoyance that was the same issue of Kerrang! being on the shelf for the second or third month in a row. Guys? This is a weekly mag. *sigh* I give on that. So snagged Revolver as it had an AFI poster. Sure, total waste of money since I don't really give a damn about most of the bands normally featured, but I wanted that poster, dammit. Content that I was done with that section [same issue of Metal Hammer as last time, ditto some other mag I occasionally snag] I headed down to the SciFi geektastic stuff. Hello Entertainment Weekly! Down to fashion and a copy of British Glamour, annnnd back to music where AMP brings us more AFI goodness. Publix showed us the new Vogue [which I want, but if I can get my discount, I'm going to wait] and I picked up W. Because I'm weak.
Oh, and BAM also brought us Fruits Basket #14. *dances*
I find myself watching Spongebob without the widget to blame. o_O
