so. sleepy.
Oct. 5th, 2006 10:01 amI'm so, so, so tired right now. It just sort of managed to sneak up on me and bam, I'm half asleep at the keys. However, I have to shower and do a couple of things, and by the time I actually have time for my sleepy mistress, I'll be wide awake all over again. *sigh*
First, it's time for another round of bridal shower madness. You might recall that it was all set for the cottage at the Island park, yes? Well, you might also recall me bitching about my phone not working. Yes, financial woes kicked someone's arse and now it's either scrounge up the $247 bucks or someone will be stuck with the unenviable job of calling up all the people invited [good luck, since I don't think anyone knows who was invited. *twitch*] and direct them to whatever the new venue would end up being. So I offered to fork over what I have. That ain't enough, and Cass [she who was adamant about having the damn thing at the damn cottage AND was supposed to pay for it] has yet to hit Penny up for the rest. The kicker, of course, is that Cass told me ages ago that Penny agreed to go in and pay a third of the cost for day 2 [you have to rent them for two days]... but when I asked Cass about it yesterday, she assured me she said no such thing. o_O If Penny did pay her third, we wouldn't. Have. A. Problem. Cass could go ahead and do whatever she needs to do, I could fork over my cash [and Penny could as well] and on Friday when we go shopping, Cass could pay me back what she could.
Instead I'm scrambling for the last $47 bucks and I'm thisclose to screaming my head off. The annoying part is that I will be so exhausted by the time the second party is over, that I won't enjoy anything that I'm helping to pay for. How, exactly, is that fair?
Happier news: Ari's gift arrived yesterday, so I don't have to worry about that. :D Even happier is that the gift bag I have my eye on should fit and everything on that front should be beyond loverly.
Okay, I have to go die... but first a trip to the bank to see where my money has gone and to see if I can cough up the last bit of cash or not. Wish me luck!
