I loathe being broke. But, at the same time, I like that middle area where I tell everyone I'm broke and I'm certainly not rolling in money, and what money I do have is ear marked for other things [like savings] so I don't have to worry about buying anything. I can look all I like, but nothing can come home with me for awhile. This means it's best to avoid clearance sales, of course, but otherwise... I can think about stuff I want and not actually have to think about following through. Hell, at the moment the only other thing I need to buy [aside from food] is a whole bunch of pots for my plants.

I'm happy [plant wise] because my iris that I thought was toast perked right up after I moved her to a pot. A little sad that she didn't do well in the area I'd specifically bought her for, but I knew the odds were against me.

In which I'm old and cranky and turn the goddamned music down!

... Just because you're getting married does not mean the entire neighborhood wants to hear your fucking reception music, okay? If I can FEEL the music from this side of the house, I can only imagine my room must be vibrating. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but in this case I might've wanted to fucking sleep.

I fucking hate this fucking bride and her fucking wedding and just about fucking everything. I am cranky, yes. What gave it away?

What the fuck is wrong with these people that they can't figure out that if it's this loud no one else can sleep and hello, you didn't invite the neighborhood so you don't get to keep us all awake. [Shut up, I don't care that it's 8:30, I work at 12 and if I hadn't slept most of the day away, imagine how much more pissed the fuck off I'd be right now. Scary, right?]
