impy: tori from jackie's strength video (forever)
I woke up for the cyber monday deals for my crack AG addiction. Nothing super awesome fantastical for me, but quite a few shiny things. I was good and only bought three things. A movie, an outfit, and the haircare set because it's cheaper than buying just the brush. I was tempted by the llama, Molly's camp stuff, and quite a few of the books. However, we've arrived at the daily deals portion of the year and I liked enough of those last year that I figured I should save what limited funds I do have.

Now to figure out what to buy for other people. *muse*

Haven't made it entirely through Midwinter Graces, but I'm awfully fond of Holly, Ivy, and Rose which is pretty remarkable since there's a version of The Holly and The Ivy we play at work that drives me batshit.

Too cold up here, so I'm going to go rustle up some food and work on Geektastic.

This morning all I held true in this world was rocked by one very, very delayed reaction.

Dan Scott (the drama queen daddy on One Tree Hill best known for watching a dog eat the heart destined for his heart transplant, no really, the soup told me it was so and it was fantastically awful!) is played by the same guy who played Nick Wolf on Highlander: the Raven.

I said it was one hell of a delayed reaction.

Sci-Fi (I refuse to go with their current incarnation) was having a Raven marathon and about three seconds into the second half of the first episode (which is when I found out it was on) my brain took a moment to wake up and say, "Dude!" At first I thought it was the dreamy sigh of duuuuuuuude because Nick was awfully prettiful. But no. It was the "Dude! Remove the facial hair, age him, darken the hair, add a little weight and a Styrofoam cooler with a heart and you have... oh, god. NO!" reaction. I rarely speak to my TV because that's crazy, but I couldn't help but find myself shrieking holy fuck! and having to turn the channel while I took a moment to indulge in a bit of denial. Worlds should not collide like that.

And it would explain why I always thought he looked familiar on OTH, but never investigated further because OTH is where braincells go to die.

Despite the vast amount of time that's elapsed since figuring this out, I still need a minute.
