Sep. 10th, 2011 02:17 pmTo celebrate... whatever it is (the boy not working on a day when this means I can actually do something perhaps?), I went to Target looking for new MH stuff. And the new Martha Stewart Halloween issue. I failed at both. I did buy chips and cheese though. Anyway, later Mums offered to take me to Kmart where again I failed. But they did have the plush wave with Abbey, Spectra, and Ghoulia. I picked up Ghoulia and Spectra (both of whom are adorable in plush form) but ultimately I decided that I should be good and wait, so I went with Ghoulia to come home with me because I LOVE YOU, GHOULIA. (Also, character wise I like Sir Hoots better than Rhuen, even if Rhuen is cuter than Hoots in plush form.)
Mums and I stopped by Books-A-Million to see if they had Martha (they did, but it really was a let down.) and they had Marie-Grace and Cecile! Holyshit! I... do not recall them ever taking part in a giveaway before. Still, I entered and looked at the horribly set-up duo. Impressions are important after all.
Marie-Grace is actually less... off brand in person than she seems in pictures. Which is a relief because she really did seem out of place at times. In person, with her hairnet still on, she's actually quite cute. Cecile, however... WANTS. I'd talked myself down to "She's got laser eyes. NO" after pictures began pouring in, but in person? No laser eyes. (Yes. I'm aware that it's a bit odd that I own two of the green eyes most often described as "neon pain" and I find Cecile's eyes off.) Very cute. Her mini really does look like a zombie though.
Braaaaaains. Yes. I bought two books. I wanted many more. I was sort of, kind of, squint your eyes and turn your head on an angle good.
I'm gonna go sleep.
