AG Stuff, Holiday 2013 Edition
Aug. 27th, 2013 11:17 am Oh, hey, you know what time it is? Adventure Time! New AG stuff time! I thought I'd do things a bit differently and basically run down the new stuff the way it's presented on the new!stuff page. Til I get bored, anyway. You can play along here if you'd like.
I should preface this with the fact that I'm not really paying attention to the BIG release at the moment. They revamped Bitty Baby at an incredible price jump that I'm torn on whether or not I hope it bites them in the arse. On the one hand, BB should not be $80. Especially when the banner for the BB section still says they're $55. (edit: Well, it did at the time I started this. See?) A new face mold and book does not equal that much of a price jump, people. :/ BB was a way a lot of parents could dip their toes in the AG water without going all in right off the bat. Personally, I was never a big Bitty fan because I didn't think she was worth $55, so ramping up the price isn't helping that cause.
On the other hand, one doesn't want a line to fail so horribly it might kill everyone else, y'know? And I don't know how important BB is to the company's well being. (See: Girl of the Year is the big moneymaker that allows for the Historical line to continue to have nice things in the way of Addy, Kaya, Josefina, Cecile, and Marie-Grace who don't sell all that well on their own but are damn important.)

All in all, a better release than I expected but not a lot that will likely follow me home at full prices.
