I think I OD'd on bitchiness
Sep. 12th, 2013 06:28 pmBoo and bullfrogs. I meant to pledge/contribute/whatever to the Scary Godmother kickstarter and I left the page open so I wouldn't forget, but of course someone closed it and I missed it. By about half an hour. :( I'll get over it but I am disappointed.
I got my flu shot this morning. It didn't hurt and I even watched most of it happen but right now my arm feels like someone slugged me. I knew it would happen but still, it's not the most pleasant of feelings. I did get the gladiator treatment though. (Which is where J came along and said, "Are you not vaccinated?" in his Gladiator voice.)
Can't get into my CPW account to pay it. Am annoyed by that. I'm annoyed by a lot of things, it seems. So let's finish this short list off.
There's a thread on one of the AG boards where people are making various statements about their collections/habits/whatever. I've lost count of the number of people admitting they haven't read the books and how many have no intention of doing so. Maybe it's different if you didn't grow up with them but a lot of these people are the same ones who bitch, loudly, about the takeover of the modern dolls. You know what separates the modern dolls and the historical dolls? The goddamned books, that's what. Give the modern line twenty years and bam, historical outfits. The books, the books give you a story. You don't have to like it. You don't have to read it more than once. You don't have to read them all at the same time. Hell, you can read Meet Whoever and decide that you'll be completely satisfied just reading the historical tidbits or something, but for the love of dog, make the attempt.
So my confession: I judge. I judge so hard.
Plus side, Target had glitter pumpkins in their dollar stop so I picked up six. :D Pictures this weekend maybe!
