Sam's new holiday dress: doesn't fit Sam.

I believe I owe a review of sorts on Samantha's new holiday set, yes? Well, let's get down to business.

First things first, I don't believe this thing is worth $64 and I'm not really sure I could buy it as the dress being BF's going rate of $34 if only because that would mark the teaset as worth $30. If you swapped the two prices though, I could see it though it still vexes me greatly that there's only one cup. Dammit, AG, if Samantha is supposed to be my friend we need to have tea together.

Rant aside, let's begin.

Sadly, this dress does not fit my PM Samantha. It wiggled onto her, struggling mightily the whole way, but would not velcro in the back and I didn't want to force it since the lace feels really delicate and I didn't want to bork it up. So Sam will continue to use Nellie's while Nellie goes a little more modern.

As such, #50 will be showcasing this set. Huzzah!

On the dress side of the set, you get a dress, black tights, black 'boots' (that are best seen in Nellie's wearing of them), and a white lace bow which is attached to one of those pony-o things.

Overall, if you think about it as a tea set for one price and a dress for another, it's not awful, but I still wouldn't buy this full price without a code to off-set shipping or something. I think the dress will happily be folded into my holiday dress collection and the tea set will probably sit there, untouched for awhile. :P

Awoke from my nap to Mums saying, "I think your box is here. Yes, definitely a box!" and taking the dog out for walkies. I trudge downstairs because my nap was only an hour and I still had another hour allotted, dangit. Box is from BC and it's my cake plate/server from Barbie that was on backorder for who knows how long. Meh. Not opening yet because the smell will be awful til it airs out and also, not making cake.

Haul empty boxes from Mumsy's room down to the recycle bins which are, for the first time since we've moved in, full. Weird. Get mail. It's nothing of interest, really. Too hot outside for nearly Halloween.

Come home. Am decidedly not in the Halloween spirit. Cannot force it, cannot sweet talk it, cannot coax it into being. Legitimately want to cry because I love Halloween and it doesn't seem to love me back this year. :(

Still, rally when Mums looks for recipe for brown sugar cookies. Naturally I can't find the one I made last year that was delicious.

Mums goes to pick up the boy. Doorbell rings. Is my B&BW box! Yay! Marvel at the "FRAGILE" warning as it looks like someone kicked it down the street to my door. Open. Nothing broken. Yay! Sniff bottles.

Instant headache.


Also, my computer keeps getting kicked off the internet connection (or disconnecting, I'm really not sure which, though the router logs seem to imply that it's telling my computer to fuck off) every two hours. I have no idea why or how to fix it.
