Halloween round up
Nov. 10th, 2014 01:48 amSince I took down my Halloween decorations today, I figure it's only fair to show the AG army in their Halloween gear. The delay is because I'm lazy.
( wall o' pics warning! )

Back outside.
Yeah, all of this was for us because not a single trick or treater came by the house. None. Not even the kids who live across the parking lot. :( We'd been warned by neighbors that few, if any, kids came around this way but still I had hope, especially when those kids moved in after we did.
Not. A. Single. One.
I nearly started to cry when I realized that no one was coming. I actually almost cried when not even the boys rang the bell when they came back from trick or treating.
When we were younger, my brother and I would insist on ringing our doorbell at the end of our route. We figured we might as well trick or treat at our own house and we did so every year and we passed it along to Widget.
Only... they didn't do it this year. :(
But, to not end on a downer, Mom asked Widget's friend to go ring the bell. He did. When he did, Mom grabbed the dog after I told her to get the door (since it was her idea). I didn't realize she was holding the dog and waited for her to get the door... while she waited for me to get the door. Eventually my brother got the door. :P
Silly Mums.
Alas, when I tell people about no trick or treaters, they're always saying the same thing, "More candy for you!" Yeaaaaaaaaah no. Widget got into the candy and ate almost all of the bag the neighbor gave us to give out just in case. He also demolished a big chunk of the extra stuff I'd bought and most of the stuff in the bowl even after I hid it.
He's now grounded for that, since he had to go into my room and dig around for it.
So Halloween itself was a bit of a let down but the day before was fabulously fun and the day after was dreary and cold and I loved it. It evened out in the end.
