La. De. Da.
Jun. 7th, 2016 11:40 amLast night I learned a couple of things:
1) The combo of The Middle and The Golden Girls still makes me happy.
2) Brownie ala Mode ice cream is stupidly delicious.
3) The Weather Channel gives zero fucks these days. I was watching on commercial breaks to see if there was anything I should know about today's brush with the tropical storm and in the past, they've had people out at all hours on location for the simplest, stupidest of storms. Last night? Literally guessing where it was making landfall. "Where do you think it's making landfall right now?" answered by, "My guess?" and the word guess being used so often that I briefly thought maybe I'd accidentally spiked my ice cream like I considered, briefly.
Nope. It was just a mess. I knew their website was pretty awful lately (and has been for the last few years, honestly) but I didn't realize how far they'd fallen on their broadcasts. Which is just sad, because the one thing I'd do when forced to travel, is turn on the WC and instantly I'd feel more at home. I dunno why, it just worked. But last night? That was just embarrassing.
Lemme wave my old lady cane around a bit more, k? I'm really tired of the way a lot of websites are set up these days. All click baity things that are recycled over and over and over. Maybe I'd like to be able to find an actual article that appeared in your shitty magazine, people. Maybe I'd like to be able to look through the archives and find something more interesting than the same 12 stories you keep hawking like they're new. They weren't new when you first started sharing them and the sixth time through they still aren't new. You are, however, making me weep for the future.
I'm not even against click-bait. I just want actual content to go with it, k?
MH mini checker link. Not sure how accurate it is, but mine cheerfully informed me there aren't any minis within 50 miles. Sigh. If you're hunting, apparently some Walmarts are also shoving them in the Megabloks display boxes instead of using the display box they come in. Siiiiiiiiiiigh. I want, I want.
