Yay, my BBW order came in. It's pretty small, all things considered, but all three items are things I love. I wasn't sure about the candle, but it smells like the best apples and the whole box smelled like it. The downside of shipping wax items in the summer heat. Luckily it wasn't sitting out there for too long. Since I just finished my Country Apple lotion from last year (don't judge, I cycle through different scents), it was definitely time to order a new one, and I snagged a Seaside Sunrise soap for my bathroom. I don't think Mums and Widget thoroughly enjoyed theirs but I loved it. I might even gift them the Black Cherry non-foaming soap so I can get to it faster. But then again, maybe not. Considering that with shipping it was a little over $13, it was basically buy the lotion, get the other two things free.
I am tempted to see if I feel like braving the store in the morning after work. But I'm also fairly content with what I have and I don't really need to go poking around for fall scents, which is what I'd be doing.
And yes, I've been eyeballing Halloween things and Autumn stuff already. Gotta stay on top of these things. Found a couple of Halloween village-y things I think Cass would like, though I don't think she'll end up with them. I mean, what says Cass more than America's Most Haunted Village collection? I really can't think of anything, actually. If she were seriously interested, I'd probably actually snag one for her birthday. Hell, I think they look nifty and if I had the space and the insane inclination to start a Halloween village...
Huh. I wonder whatever happened to the Christmas village Mom and I had back at the Crescent? Was it one of the things that got lost to the squirrel invasion or is it in the storage facility or...? It wasn't super huge or anything, but I know it made the move to the last house, but I don't know if it followed us to the townhouse(s).

I planned on hitting BBW today but by the time we made it out of Walmart (and it was a quick trip) it was already hot as hell and no one really wanted to go back out into the heat. I'm debating whether an evening trip would be a suicide mission. I do have to hit the post office in the morning so maybe...
Rant warning:
Yesterday we stopped at the Post Office and mailed my PBS book out. Mums used the little machine because they weren't open yet and away we went. Today I get a little orange "sorry we missed you!" note that says they're holding the PBS book because I owe 1.05 in postage. This is the second time their machine has borked the postage. What's even more annoying is that the mailman didn't even TRY to deliver it to the house. Mom never left the parking lot area (our mailman wouldn't have come before 8am for our Walmart run) and I was home the whole friggin' time. I loathe this man. Loathe.
If it weren't for the fact that they've returned books before for the insufficient postage trick of theirs, I'd be more willing to assume this was just a message from the PO and less of a lazy mailman trick. However this ain't my first rodeo and I've had too many run-ins with this douche to assume any such thing.
Also, while in my rant zone, stop being friends with my ex, dammit. I keep sorta forgetting he exists in anything other than the past and then he'll make a comment on a post and it's just like getting punched. He'll talk to you but not to me? Promise me that should I die unexpectedly, you will have Cass tell him my last words to him are, "Fuck you."
