Dec. 6th, 2016 01:25 pmWOO. Yesterday I tried to assemble one of the chairs I bought for the house and uh, many a swear word was uttered. Mums had to come help put on the fourth leg because I was at the 'stake yourself like a vampire' stage of assembly.
Today I went ahead and tried the second chair and it was much easier. Still parts that made me question my sanity, but Mums did make suggestions yesterday that made today's attempt easier.
I'm pretty pleased with how they look though, so yay me.
Let's see, I opened my AG box last night and everything was there. I've got to say that this year's Cyber Monday sale was definitely easier than any other CM sale I've tried with them. They shipped everything out really quickly, it all appeared, and I don't recall any stories of anyone having things go missing.
Onto the actual items, I'm pretty content with my purchases. The two weird outfits are just as...strange in person. I like the pieces, which is good since some are repeats from Grace's collection, but I'm not sure how they'll look as actual outfits as is. The shirts are both actually embroidered and not just iron ons so that's nice.
Grace's earrings are super cute and Ivy's gonna love 'em. Her hair kit is... unusual? They seem to have swapped her hair bow out for the metal headband which, like I said before, was included and I really like the looks of it. I'm not entirely sure how well it's going to work, but it can't be much worse than the plastic ones they've been using for awhile now.
Me's outfit is cute as heck, though it definitely does beg the question why, exactly did they have so many outfits without the shoes? Also, I don't think it included the scarf but the listing said it would so I'll double check when I get back upstairs. Hrmm. Julie's outfit is lovely and I'm glad I got it on sale because Ivy's gonna look adorable in it. I'm wondering if I already bought Kit's Reporter Set because when I opened it, it seemed awfully familiar. Then again, it's also possible that I've just considered it so many times that it feels that way. And finally, Saige's necklace is still stupidly pretty.
