Grrrr. So the one really nifty thing about hitting the Berry tier in AG land is that last year they got a gift around this time. It was a book (one of the Sonoma cooking ones) and as far as I can tell, it was the only Berry exclusive they did the entire friggin year.
This morning I got word that this year's gift was the choice of one of eight exclusive outfits, for free. You could buy the others if you want (assuming you're Berry) but you get a freebie. But you have to get your code emailed.
You know where this is going, right? So everyone waits. And waits. And then I dunno, we'll say around 11am EST the codes start hitting. Only my email is devoid of any such email from them. Because of course it is. :/
I give it another hour or so and then I call because these are not the prettiest of choices, ok? I don't want to miss out on one I actually like just because AG dropped my email again. So I call and my palms sweat and my heart races and I tell myself to deal because my freebie is on the line, dammit.
I wait. And wait. And wait. This hold music is awful. Then we switch to the Wellie theme and it's not awful and I get my first CS person. I mention that I have a bit of an issue and then explain what it is (I'd like to order one of the Berry outfits, I am a Berry member, but I never got a code.) She asks for my zip, my last name, my address... and after I give all that and more, she says my account was locked but she unlocked it and then has me sign out and back in and I'm a little confused because um... me signing in and out of my account should have no effect on my email code. o_O She and I wait and I tell her that I did have a problem with my rewards certificate not coming via email the last time I earned one and I had to call then... and she transfers me. Where I sit on hold for forever and a day and then have to tell the new girl the same thing, only I didn't remember to start with the not getting my rewards last time. Not sure if that would help since her helpful reply to my issue was:
The emails are coming from a third party and thus she can't just generate one or look up my code, so I should give it til the end of the day to see if I get one and if not, I should call back.
And for the first time in recent AG history, I have yet to find anyone else who has called in without a code. I was going to add "and had any luck" but I haven't even found another person who admits to trying. I can't be the only person who took one for the team on this!
