AG update

AG giveth and AG taketh away. I called last night during dinner and talked to a rep who had a fantastic voice (I don't swoon easily but some voices are swoon worthy and his was) and after putting me on hold and I suspect talking to his supervisor was willing to put through my order since it's not likely I'll ever get that stupid email. I'd told him the outfit I wanted, I was confirming my info and then the line goes dead quiet. Nooooooooooooooooooo!

I try calling back and it rings and rings and rings.

I try again after five minutes or so and get "this number is no longer in service."

I tried a third time after I actually ate my dinner and it was still giving me the not in service message so I threw up my hands and went to bed and then work later.

I got off work this morning and came home to check my email to see if maybe I'd gotten the email OR he'd gotten my order put in after all but nothing. So I checked my AG account and suddenly everything regarding my points/tier was gone. Poof!

Great. So in addition to having to jump through hoops to get them to put my order in (which I know for a fact they did for other people, some without even having to wait on hold for eons because they posted about it on FB or the boards) I was also going to have to get them to try and fix my account. Great. -_-


Called. Was on hold for approximately forever and a day. Got someone who basically listened to my "want to order my freebie, did not get the email, will likely never get the email" and she handed me off to someone else pretty fast. I waited and waited on hold again and get B and B and I try to make sense of this mess. We go through the fact that I can't reliably get any emails from them except the AG Agenda which isn't related to the Rewards as far as I can tell. We go through the fact that my account has now been wiped and it's never a good thing when the specialist says in an awed whisper Whoa. That's when she saw the vast wasteland that was my account.

I got put on hold for three hundred years and eventually B comes back and asks if I've seen the outfits and I say yes, I know exactly which one I'd like to order. I tell her and try not to get my hopes up because this is the part where the system died yesterday, y'know?

Order goes through and she tells me that they're working on my account being wiped and hopefully (meep!) it should be back to normal soon. I make sure to mention that it was fine when I talked to the guy last night and maybe the system going haywire is what caused my account to blink out of existence. She seemed to think it might be possible but she might've been humoring me, so I dunno.

I went back to FB once I got my confirmation email and told the two ladies I'd been waiting with yesterday to call and get their shinies, dammit.

Tangent time: J makes a post to AG's FB page asking about the email and AG tells her she should get hers soon. Hours later she's still SOL. I know because I commented on her post and asked. Another woman, A, who had commented before me, also says she's been waiting and waiting and nothing. So during the day we comment and AG ignores us all. Which would've been less than ideal but y'know fine-ish if someone else didn't pipe up and AG immediately answered them in the same post. A called them out on it, nicely, and they continued to ignore us. :P Sooooo I couldn't leave them hanging without hope. Alas, poor J got someone who didn't/wouldn't help her while I got someone who could and would. I feel bad that they're making her wait even longer while not helping her at all. But I shouldn't have to feel bad because this is on AG.

What's extra annoying is that there are people who had the same issue (no emailed code but very much a Berry member) who didn't have to jump through hoops. They just got someone who got them a code and made it work. Wtf. Annnnnnnnnd J just updated the post and she got her issue worked out. Huzzah! Now to hope A does as well.

Last CM AG did three 'exclusive' random outfits and it appears they will continue that tradition this year. I am in need of that black and silver outfit and if nothing else, I will be attempting to snag it. I know and don't care that it's basically a recolor of the blue dress from a couple of years ago. Why don't I care? Because that blue dress is effing awesome, that's why. That second outfit is strange and I was ready to burn my retinas out on the third until someone came up with some weird zombie "it's so awful, so awful!" kind of thing and then I kind of liked it. Which is weird because I didn't ever get the first version of it and I still think it's kind of awful but at the same time... Eh. We'll see.

Gotta get some sleep.
