Sep. 21st, 2018 04:39 pmHuh. Time flew. Tonight I go back to work for the first time since I left early Sunday morning, 9/9. What's funny is that somewhere in the first five years or so of the job, this much time off/away would have driven me batty but now? Now I'm only ticked that corporate closed the stores in the area and kept them closed for the better part of a week but only paid for 2 days off. If you'd just used all your PTO (y'know, since they won't let you take Oct-Jan off), you're hosed. I got 'lucky' in that I'd originally planned to take part of this week off anyway and that my October time was denied (still hoping for two days) and that I also cut my July holiday short. Otherwise? Hosed.
I meant to be in bed hours ago but time slipped away from me.
I can't say my vacation really yielded a whole lot of anything productive, but part of that is because last week was spent doing the hurricane freakout. I did get 85% of my Halloween stuff out, even if I'm not at all happy with most of my set-ups yet. I did get my Comcast appointment out of the way, but they didn't fix my actual issue (beyond having to set up a new 2 year agreement with them) wherein my TV upstairs doesn't get any channels. It's funny how it worked perfectly one day and then the next, literally overnight, it stopped working. It's not that the TV itself doesn't work, because it does, but trying to get the tech to understand that didn't work. Not helped by me almost getting through to him just as Mom hollered upstairs about her keys, which I then spent the next two hours looking for even though ha, they turned out to be in her purse the whole time.
Didn't catch up on a damn TV show but I did rewatch some Psych episodes. I did go out Halloween hunting and for the most part didn't go overboard buying anything. Kept up my plan to actually use my nail polish (not sure what I last mentioned, but I know I used Essie's Ring In The Bling because it's orangey-red, and currently have WnW's Keep Vinyl Alive on)... Not a bad vacation, really.
Oh, and unrelated, AG wise: GoTY 2019 is going to be Blaire Wilson and allegedly her doll picture leaked but I haven't seen or heard anything beyond what you can see on IG. She's got a lamb and a pig, and some gardening supplies so everyone is thinking she's a farmer type. *shrug* I want the animals, I like the blue packaging... I am still ticked at AG because all fucking year they've sworn up and down that Luci would be available 2018 and beyond and now they're suddenly saying she goes poof at the end of this year. I don't have enough middle fingers for this. Sigh. Not that I have the money anyway, but at least before I could pretend I'd have enough time like I did with Gabby.
And now I'm going to take my headache and wait for dinner time.
