Sep. 28th, 2018 10:20 amSo Charmed finally got its theme music back and I can rejoice because it needs its ripped from The Craft version of How Soon Is Now. Also, S1 is being released on Blu-ray at the end of next month. I don't have a Blu-ray player. So why do I want to shell out the money for the DVD set? WHY.
You know why. Everyone* has at least one thing that they will buy just about anything for... and Charmed is mine. I'm actually pretty good about it these days, as I turned down a truly hideous Piper doll/figure at Target but I think this might be the thing to finally get my ass to upgrade my DVD experience. Or I'll buy it and add it to the pile of Marvel movies that I have BR versions of. To be fair, all of those either also included a regular DVD or the digital version... probably both.
I'm thinking that I'm going to actually get off my ass and do that re-watch I've been threatening to do for awhile. Gonna have to break out the DVDs though because Netflix still has the theme-less version. Woe. Still, it's not every day you get the 20th anniversary.
The reboot is now in full damage control mode trying to backpedal wildly over their previous comments about the original. Also, if one took a shot each time someone involved with the new show claimed it would be feminist or something along those lines, one would die even if using only water. Die, I say. However, the not!Prue seems less annoying than not!Piper so we'll see. Mom's planning on watching in any case.

Speaking of Mom, I bought 4 of the Harry Potter Funko blind boxes at work for her and I handed her the first box with the warning that I reserved the right to open one and that if she got Luna, I got visitation rights. So Mom makes a big production out of opening Box #1 (and the only box she's opened) and it's LUNA. YAY. Luna joins Darla, Puff, and my McDonald's Cutie Mark Crew pair on top of the computer. ♥
I caved and ordered three things from Yankee Candle last week (or the week before?) when they had a buy 1 get 1 free sale on their accessories. I picked up the Superstition Cat I'd wanted and then decided that since I wasn't sure how much I'd actually like it in person, I'd grab a Lil Witch from the Boney Bunch. I'm still not sure how I feel about the BB, honestly. I like the idea of them but in person I'm just still not sure. Lil Witch isn't helping because her paint job is kinda trash, but it also kinda works because it makes her look more zombie like. She's also much bigger than I was expecting. Ditto to the not!Sophia cat. That thing is massive and also it sucks in all the light and makes it hard to see. I'd say I'd take a picture to show you, but I think that like a real black cat, that might not work all that well. "See this black blob? See how you can't make anything out? Now imagine that in person!"
Third item was a Scenterpiece warmer that was on clearance. I have it up in my room and we're trying it out today. I do wish they'd had a Halloween one this year. As it is, winter penguin will do.
I was going to paint my nails again (they chipped horribly during the truck of dooooooooom) but I'm too tired so I guess it's bedtime.
Note to self: no Facebook before bed. The political assbaggery has made me lose serious respect for some people.
