It's officially October, so you know what that means!

Halloween/autumn pictures all month. You're welcome.

I had it all planned. I was gonna turn on my Halloween lights, turn down the regular lights, maybe watch an episode of Worst Witch or hell, anything really, sip my booze I bought at work, and wait for the new AG release to launch.

Instead I spent two hours debating whether it was possible to combine Hot Cash at Hot Topic and if so, what would I buy? Turns out you can use more than one code online and despite intending to buy Cass something, I instead bought myself three things. Before you feel too badly for her, please do remember that I only had one of those codes because I bought Zero for her and she never paid me back. So instead, I bought myself :
Hell Hath No Fury Like I Do blanket, which is from Bob's Burgers and thus has a big ol' picture of Louise on it. And Louise is easily my favorite character and ohshit, I just remembered that came back tonight so I have something to watch in the morning!

A deck of overpriced Golden Girls playing cards that have quotes on them and I might never actually use them as a deck of cards but I wanted them immediately upon finding them.

And finally, I decided on a bag because I am terrible with purses. I debated between a tiny mini backpack in the shape of a bat, but I couldn't really get a good size on it and reviews were positive on everything but the size/straps, the Sailor Venus mini backpack that did include a very good review picture for size but I never wear orange and the white would get filthy and ultimately I decided on this cute Stitch bag.

Whenever they arrive, I guess we'll see if I did a good job or not.

Gonna work on this one later, but for now I'm off to assemble my AG post.

impy: Lorelai Gilmore making her forks fight with the text 'Take That!' (take that)
We begin with the thing that has the least practical use for me, but is perhaps the most news worthy and that is the fact that AG has finally realized that maybe after decades of molding young girls into women who still remember the company fondly, maybe those women would like to match their kids or just wear the AG stuff too. I mean, it's mostly to match the kids but you do you, boo. Holiday Dreams Pajamas for Women the outfit, which you buy separately, will ultimately set you back $50. Clearly I will not be buying for many reasons but again, it's nice of them to offer it up for those who do want it.

So many pictures, including spoilers for their Countdown To Christmas box. )

Initially I wasn't thrilled but as I went through and looked at each outfit, I found more to love. Dangerous for my wallet, alas. I do wonder if a) they'll be doing a store exclusive dress and b) what it'll be like if they do. Neither of this year's offerings strike the same chord within me that the holiday dresses usually do.

Mix and Match Outfit possibilities as promised. )

Prompt 1: Decoration. Probably one of my favorite things I've picked up in the last few years. During the off season it lives in my room. The owl pumpkin is heavy and can be used as a deadly weapon if your aim is good enough and it came from work a couple of years ago. The kitty is from a friendly coworker. :)

1. The smell of pumpkin guts or rotting leaves?
Y'know, I'm sure I know what they smell like but I couldn't tell you what rotting leaves smell like. So... pumpkin guts?

2. Sweet or salty pumpkin seeds?
Salty, but only a smidge. I really should try sweet ones soon.

3. Store bought or pumpkin patch pumpkins?
After the year of the great pumpkin shortage I am not that picky. However, I do enjoy the pumpkin patch and all that comes with it, so if forced to choose I'll go with that.

4. Wool or knit sweaters?
Fuck wool. Fuck it hardcore.

5. Halloween party or exploring haunted places?
Haunted. Places! But I never get to go on those trips because it's always Friday or Saturday when people get the idea and I work them. :(

6. Candy corn or mellowcreme pumpkins?
I love them both, but I like the pumpkins just a smidge more.

7. Apple cider donuts or pumpkin donuts?
Apple cider, I guess? I'll have to do a proper taste test one of these days.

8. Apple pie or pumpkin pie?
If the pumpkin pie can be the chiffon pumpkin pie Mom makes, that is my choice forever and always. But standard pumpkin pie is only tolerable if I can cover it in whipped topping so apple pie otherwise.

9. Scary costume or something silly?
Silly! I love it when people bring their puns out of hiding for Halloween.

10. Still, silent nights or rainy, windblown ones?
For Halloween itself, I'd rather still and silent, but in general for fall? Gimme your blustery goodness.

11. Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown?
Halloweentown, I think.

12. Witches or ghosts?
Usually witches, but I love them both.

13. Raking leaves or climbing trees?
I'm not a big tree climber because our trees aren't exacly made for climbing... but I'd rather give that a whirl again than do yard work. :P

14. Ouija boards or ghost stories around a campfire?
I've only used an actual Ouija board once but my friends and I did get a fair amount of use out of the board of doom (not the official name) and honestly I'd probably pick that if it meant I could get my Ari back.

15. Frankenweenie or The Corpse Bride?
Original Frankenweenie. No contest.

16. October or November?
October!

17. Black cats or owls?
Black cats. ♥

18. Fireplace or candlelight?
Candlelight.

19. Monster movies or their classic novels?
Movies because I'll never be able to forget Kate trying to ~dramatically~ read Dracula. But it's not like either is a bad option here.

20. Carve or paint pumpkins?
Carve, you heathen. Though I hate the gutting part because my hand cramps.
