May. 7th, 2019 12:33 amPardon me while I headdesk. The AG sale I posted about last time was up for at least two hours by the time I got around to posting it on PT. I posted here first, took my walk before, and basically let anyone else who wanted first dibs on the post have a crack. Turns out it was up even earlier but again, the people who noticed didn't say anything. Anyway, in my very short post, I mention that Molly's Costco pajamas are part of the sale. They are, btw, literally the only PJs without a name in the title, though the picture specifically calls them Molly's Pajamas. They are also the only "new" pajamas in the sale. Yet I'll be damned if there aren't at least three people asking where they came from.
I... just... told... you? It's not like AG has never released Costco "exclusives" before. The pet sets show up pretty regularly and people always point out that AG charges more than Costco does for them.
And on the petty side, I'm tired of the West Coast people complaining that they had to get up early or risk missing out. I'm tired of it because these are the same people who, come a big release or the Cyber Monday sale, will brag for days on end about not even having to stay up a little late because it'll be the perfect time for them. And not in a "ha, I'm such a night owl and I'll still be up" kind of way. Nope, it's because it's not middle of the fucking night for them. East Coast is basically told to put up or shut up every time in those threads but West Coast is out there laughing at everyone falling asleep while they wait.
Now y'all know how it felt for the rest of us. :P That said, we knew there was a sale coming 5/7 and that there was a mysterious Gold and Berry perk coming, which was most likely early access to the sale meant that checking in was probably a good idea. It's how I got first crack. :P Also, if it had been up for a while when that other person mentioned trying to shop and being denied (and this person always has this problem, btw) so I'm guessing it originally went live when the WC people would've had best crack at it.
ALSO also, half the stuff that had sold out the first time I checked had done so almost immediately so it was stuff where AG had a stupidly small stock. They are notorious for doing this, btw. Every year there are a couple of things that people flip out over and unless you're maybe people 4-7 to order, you're not going to get it. You'll notice I didn't start with one there. Nope, AG is also notorious for screwing people who shop first. So you want to be early but not too early. Still, I do feel bad for people who missed out on the stuff that did linger for a bit. So, not Josefina's goat because that was gone almost immediately.
I am a bit sad that I didn't pay attention to Maryellen's table and little poodle set because my brain is just so used to it being stupidly expensive for what I want and it wasn't. And now it's gone. Whoops. And now I'm going to need AG to gimme hints as to what the new stuff is going to be because uh, those collections are looking very sparse these days and some of us have summer birthdays, dammit.
But my order shipped already so that's nice. Lately AG's been getting much better about that, assuming you don't count on that being the case. Guess this means I should maybe figure out what I'm doing with my AG stuff, huh.
Instead I'm going to attempt a shower after maybe putting up the end of the winter decorations that I literally only notice on my days off when I'd rather be doing anything else than putting them away.
