(no subject)

Someone needs to talk some sense into me because I might have a shopping cart with 5 mascaras in it, waiting for me to pull the trigger and hit buy. Normally this would be an easy no, but we're talking five fun colors of mascara. Bright, vivid blue! Teal! Lavender! White! Red!

I already talked myself out of the yellow and pink because the yellow just isn't something I think I'd ever want to wear and I've tried pink mascara before and it's a hard no for me. But I love weird mascaras and they cycle through being relatively easy to find and being impossible to even find blue. Red is probably one I wouldn't wear a ton but every so often I could see myself wanting to freak people out. If the purple one was a royal purple we wouldn't even be having this conversation because I'd already have bought it and its friends by now, but I do like the way the lavender isn't really subtle since light lashes tend to stand out. I miss having teal mascara and it'll probably be the one getting the most use if my use of the old Maybelline Great Lash versions is any indication. And that blue is all that I dream of and more. Maybe.

I usually can't be bothered to wear makeup to work because the creeps really ramp up their creepiness and also because if my choice is sleep or makeup, I will choose sleep every damn time. But mascara, particularly once I've got the hang of a formula, I will make an exception for if the color is fun.
