Stuffs to do

I need to wash Adoraboa's catbox this morning but I don't want to do it too early because I know some people around here are still leaving for work but I also don't want to wait too late because I never know when the yard people show up. Technically we aren't supposed to wash such things in our parking lot but we also aren't supposed to keep our trashcans outside the corral except on trash day and people do that, and the people across the lot have a window unit AC which I know for damn sure is against the HOA so fuckit. I'm washing the catbox. :P


This also means I have to sweep upstairs because much as I love this little ball of black, she seems hellbent on taking all the litter out of her catbox. Luckily when we got her box, we got one with the additional lid that makes it a smidge higher so we'll see if that helps curb any of this nonsense or if she'll look at it, see the front bit that's still lower and go "that'll work."

Since I'm apparently in a handy mood, I also changed the lightbulbs in my room (huzzah, let there be light!) and cleaned the fan blades in the LR. Gotta tackle my room a little later, probably when I do my sweeping.

Circling back to kitty, I let her out yesterday to roam the house. Unlike her visit after the vet's, this one was straight from my room so she did the cautious sniff everything and walk very, very slowly. I walked her down the stairs and she bounced partway up when Mom moved on her bed but then she investigated and even took Mums seriously when she pointed to a bug (flying sort, I don't know which) and told her she could to please take care of it. My favorite bit was sitting here, at the computer in the LR and shaking the treat bag because Adora was on Mom's bed eying the lingerie cabinet (which is pretty high up and has stuff on top of it) and instead of running towards ME, she bounced off the bed and ran upstairs.

Miss Cat, what are you doing? How do you know that's what the boys do when they hear it? Also, Miss Cat, I'm downstairs... with the treats. :P


All of this was after I went swimming for the first time this year. Naturally about five minutes after I get into the pool, the pool guy shows up. I did eventually have to get out because he needed to add more acid (don't think about it, self, don't think about it) but then went back in after time was up. Other than having to fish out three floaties, it wasn't bad. I considered going today but I think I need to find/buy some SPF lipstuff or at least chapstick because my lips are not happy with me. I also think I need to buy a new swimsuit after all because something sticky is on the straps of mine and even after washing it, it's still icky sticky. :/

Now to go rant about this book I finished over the weekend.
