Sep. 29th, 2022 09:37 amI stand corrected. The broken utility pole is being held up by hopes, prayers, and fucking police tape.
The sky last night was a beautiful shade of purple but I didn't have my phone (I never bring it down for dinner) and while not as breathtaking as pictures of the day before, it was still pretty. We're currently sitting right in the middle of the cone ofshame uncertainty so that's... fun. Luckily, Ian's down to a tropical storm but I gather the general consensus is he'll likely power back up to a Cat 1 before making landfall again.
I really hope whichever chucklehead gets to make the call on when the store closes takes into consideration that just because things might not be bad going in, it'll be fucking miserable trying to leave and get home considering high tide's gonna factor into all this mess, even if it's not set for when Ian officially is set to arrive. But I'm trying not to stress too much because there's nothing I can do.
Gonna go for a walk in a bit but I've gotta check out the new AG stuff and finish my laundry.
