headache for three
Sep. 12th, 2005 04:49 amWhen I was younger, I was freakishly shy. Moreso than I am now. Now is bad, but back them I'm not sure most people knew I was capable of speach. And I had the worst luck in opening up to people. I'd manage to get brave enough to seek someone out on the one day they really did not need to be bothered. So they'd be cranky, and I'd be hyper sensitive and I'd crawl back in my shell and not be seen for months again.
I'm starting to wonder why I bother anymore.
There I am, telling someone something and the next thing you know, my conversation has been taken over as they start babbling in the middle or sometimes just flat out over whatever I was saying. And I just kind of stand there wondering, "what. the. fuck?" At the very least it's rude. It also hurts my feelings. Especially when the same people do it over and over and over... and over. So I stop, and I wonder if I do the same thing to them. We're not just talking the occasional "Omg! I have to tell you something or else I'll forget!" kind of thing. That's vexing, but it happens. Then I remember how often I'll wander off, head filled with a thousand things I could have said, but didn't because *drumroll* it would be rude to interrupt and I didn't have another opportunity. So while I figure I'm guilty of the "ohemgee!" things, I hope I manage to avoid, "Whatever, my thoughts are so much more important than yours." As a habit, anyway.
On to happier things, because the above is giving me a third headache. Unlike I feared, I did not miss the season premiere of Winx Club S2 and Bratz. First up, Winx because it'll be less complaint-y. :p
Layla? We loves her so. So much so, we even love what little we heard of her voice, which usually tends to not happen. Ever. While there was a cringe worthy moment [Musa opening her mouth at certain times *cough*] or two, overall, yay! It's killing me that so far no sign of Layla here. Still need a Stella [and a Musa, Tecna, and Flora] so Icy can't complain too much about which one she ends up with. Just that she doesn't have a friend yet. Oh, yes.
Bratz invade your TV. To be honest, I'm not going to be the least biased person for this. I know that. While I own a handful [more like a couple of handfuls] of Bratz, very few, if any, would be saved if the house was threatened and I had limited time to cart what I loved most to safety. Their clothes, sure. But the dolls themselves? Very few. Awesome though they are, they don't speak to me in a way that says, "Give us backstory, woman!" Which is fine as they're primarily bought for their clothes. Annnnnyway. The show? Kinda painful. By this I mean the animation style is very hit or miss/love it or leave it. To begin with, I'm not all that fond of the style, but then everytime they showed one of the boys talking I kept trying not to look away because it looked wrong? Yeah. The highlight for me is that it was kind of like watching the dolls come to life [a creepy thought] and see the outfit combinations. Mainly because you could, in theory, recreate a really nifty combo if you had all the pieces. It's sad that I think that's the biggest selling part visually for me. Though Yasmin overcame the style and looked [and sounded] fantastic. So perhaps there is hope. Storywise, meh. I think my favorites are going to the be the idiots in Pink, which is, alas, sad. But not the horrible trainwreck I was expecting, so yay for low expectations being met and exceeded!
No, I didn't forget about yesterday. I just... had nothing to say, really. Think, yes. But not say.
Click meeeeee! No. Seriously. Click that. Go see. Some of you have seen it. Others, well, you should.
That? Is what cemented my love of Principessa before I got mine. She took out Noir and the devil! How cool is she? She's that cool.

Date: 2005-09-12 11:35 pm (UTC)ANYWAY! Bratz pretty much WAS the horrible trainwreck I was expecting. I think i watched a whole 47 seconds of it, and I was like "OH HELL NO!!" and I turned that shit OFF. Then I had to leave, so sadly I didn't see the Winx Club, but there's always next week, I suppose.
