Questioning my faith in popculture

Today we have two unanswered questions:

1) Did the liquor store really charge me twice, and if so, why? Bitches. Pass this off to my secretary to figure out.

2) What's the allure of Keira Knightley? Is she that fantasmical in her roles and I've just missed it, given the two movies I've seen her in? She's iffy in interview [written] form. Sometimes she's just charming enough to make me wonder why I generally wouldn't care if she went away tomorrow, and sometimes I'm reminded that she vexes me for reasons I just do not remember until they're staring me right in the face.

These questions are brought to us by looking at our bank account and by getting the mail and having our new InStyle issue arrive, all scuffed up. For the love of Holly, you'd think me complaining three months in a row would clue them in that their magazine, being slightly oversized, is getting beaten up, so maybe they could go back to bagging it or some such nonsense. But no. They don't. Whatever, I'm not particularly enamored with Ms. Knightley, so if her issue's all scuffy, it's okay. But if next month's is at all wonky, I complain. Again.

Rar.

I should sleep. Y'know, they keep promising me rain, and all I seem to get is a little drizzle and some thunder when House was on last night. [And unlike the week before, I actually managed to watch and tape it, yay me. House addiction 2, me 0]

Things to do this payday:

-Pay off dolly crack
-Pay off cellphone crack
-magazine crack
-buy birthday presents for people who don't suck in bad ways. [yeah, go on, giggle. I know at least one person wants to, even if they just won't admit it.]


I'm sure I've... oh, yeah. Cable bill. Woe!

Annnnnnnnd one of these days, my DF stuff will be charged & shipped, and they will arrive and I will be giddy. Yes.

Out of curiosity, which two Keira films have you seen? My love for her is based solely on Pirates of the Caribbean and Pride & Prejudice. I confess I haven't watched anything else she's been in for fear that it might suck, and ruin my respect for her ability as an actress :p (preserving the fantasy as long as possible...)

Pirates and Princess of Thieves which I must now add this disclaimer: I only saw a chunk somewhere in the middle, and even then I could only watch bits of it because it made my head ache.
So for all I know, it's a decent enough flick if you start when you're supposed to and get sucked into the movie all nice and proper. But since I didn't, I just remember thinking [over and over, no less] to myself, what the hell is this crap?
